I am 3 weeks post surgery. Had my tummy tuck on 3/8/2010. I had 5 kids in 4 years, including triplets so my stomach was way out of whack. I lost about 25 lbs before going for my tummy tuck. I was 151 lbs the day I walked into surgery.

The first day after surgery was horrible. I have a high pain tolerance and it was really lousy - until I took the pain meds. That made all the difference in the world in those first 48 hours. My recovery has been great, and I haven't experienced anything my doctor didn't tell me. His staff is top-notch, kind, courteous, friendly and real. I could not be happier and cannot wait to see the final results!

Hello :). I have a consult with Dr. Placik in a couple of weeks for possible TT and Lipo. I was wondering if you are still happy with your results and his work? I am so nervous!

Hi!! Yes! I am still very happy with my results! I don't have any complaints. Things have gone well. I've maintained the weight-loss and I've been able to get some muscle tone in my stomach too. He was fabulous and I would absolutely choose him again!

Thank you so much! Did you have lipo as well? How was the pain/recovery for you? I am allergic to most pain medications so I hope he can find something that might work for me. (sigh). When did most your pain subside for you? Sorry for all the questions. Its just nice to hear from someone that actually had the same doc. I really appreciate ANY feedback, tips, or encouragement. :) Blessings!

Recovery was pretty smooth. The first few days were pretty rough. As I think i wrote in my original post, the first day was awful. I have a really high pain tolerance, and I don't like taking lots of meds because I have weird side effects, and I had to resort to taking the meds the first night. And, I'm so glad I did. It helped me relax and get the rest I needed to feel better. After that, I believe I just took Tylenol for the pain. My recovery was smooth and within a week, I was walking upright and moving around decent enough, albeit, slowly. Getting the drain out was a HUGE advantage to me, so I did everything I could and followed his instructions to make it happen as quickly as possible. My stomach is amazingly flat, I can exercise like a beast, and I have no pain or problems since the surgery. They know what they are doing and I'd listen to his instructions and follow them to a T. It's going to hurt, but the pain is only temporary and you'll love the results. Feel free to ask any questions you want! I know how scary it can be! I'm not sure if you can private message from here or not (it's been a long time since I posted my original review). I'm happy to talk to you more privately too.

Hello, I know it has been a while since you posted!
May I ask which pain meds were prescribed to you?
Glad you are doing well. It seems like you were able to manage the pain. What scares me is some of the ladies saying the pain was bad and meds barely take the edge off.
