Tubular Breasts Areola Reduction - So Worth It!
Tubular Breasts Areola Reduction - So Worth It!
I'm a 23 years old female, never been pregnant. I had tubular breasts - they were saggy, uneven, set apart with huge areolas (about 9cm wide). I had areola reduction done to improve the shape, perkiness, and most importantly - my confidence. Unfortunately, I was embarrassed and unhappy with my breasts - so much I've never shown them to anyone, even despite having a boyfriend of 2 years.
I got the surgery done in Poland for 4000PLN / 720 GBP / 1010 USD.
I had local anesthesia with permanent sutures, which were removed exactly 3 weeks post-surgery. I have permanent sutures inside the breasts to keep everything in place.
For the first 4-5 days I was taking strong painkillers and I was very uncomfortable. Also, I didn't shower for the first 3 days as I was scared my sutures would pop - of course, that wasn't possible, but my breasts were so tight and sore. It got better after a week, nonetheless, now (3 weeks post-surgery) I feel mild pain when I touch the incisions.
My surgeon asked me to sleep on my back, wear a sports bra and tape my areolas 24/7. I change the tape once a week after sanitising the area with Octenisept.
I am very pleased with the results. The shape of my breasts has changed completely and it looks very natural. I plan on having a fat transfer to my breasts in about a year.
I'll keep on updating here and I'm happy to answer any questions :)
5 weeks post-op

Got an infection :(
I'm 2,5 months post surgery and my right nipple areola got infected - probably due to an allergy to the disinfectant spray or the microphone tape. I feel uneasy about it and I'm scared it won't heal properly. I contacted my surgeon by email and sent him photos - I was told to stop using the tapes and apply an antibiotic ointment for a few days with a gauze pad on top. I'll do that and change my dressing twice a day. What a bummer :(
