Update one year post op

As many of you asked for an update (sorry for the late reply to some!) here it is. This is a bit more than a year later. You can see they have strechted a bit again, but not as much as they were before! One side has stretched more than the other though. Usually this may happen if one breast is larger because of the tension and weight, but in my case that breast is not much larger, so my doctor told me that was odd but it can happen.

The scars have healed well, they are almost flat but they are quite white. Often scars heal to a pinkish colour so they don’t show that much, but mine went a bit too far I guess. He also said that was not usually the case . My doctor proposed two options. We could do the whole surgery again but this time he would take the outer circle (which is now still my “natural” areola line) along with it, so that the scar really becomes the outer circle of the areola and the color difference doesn’t show so much as it matches my skin, and then he could also make the bigger areola smaller so that the sizes match again. Or we can do cosmetic tattooing to darken te scars so it won’t show as much. Both options I won’t pay full price as it’s an adjustment. I’m thinking of doing the second option as it seems less intrusive and makes the most natural end result, even though my areola’s would still stay uneven in size. It doesn’t bother me that much.

But yeah here you go! One year later!

3,5 months post-op

Update on 3,5 months post-op. One side has had some small infections in the last couple of weeks because of stitches residu being pushed out of the wound, but now it’s healing again and the scars are becoming smoother and flatter.

5 weeks post-op

Still wearing sports bras all the time. Can now sleep on my side and have started working out again. All seems good.
