Areola Reduction Second Attempt

9 month update

It’s been about 9 long long months of healing. There were many nights I would cry myself to sleep because I was so unhappy with how I looked. I’m still not fully happy and even considering removing my implants and getting a full lift. My areola have spread significantly since the surgery and the right areola scarring is worse off than the left. I also think the shape of them is off. They have been pretty red and angry for a few months so I I have had 2 pulse dye laser treatments to help with the redness in the scarring. Last one was less then 2 weeks ago. Scars are usually worse after I shower. I’m gonna give another 3 months of healing to see how I feel before getting another surgery. I do think they are better than the first time around.

I honestly dont notice the scars if that makes you feel better. They blend really well. You look great, and also boys are stupid and wont notice anyways if that makes sense. You would have to point it out for anyone to notice. Hope you feel better

2 month update

April 2nd will be my 2 month mark from my procedure. Overall I’m healing way better than last time. My right nipple is still bigger than my left with worse scaring which really bothers me. I had a follow up appointment with my doctor last week and of course he said I’ll just have to wait it out another 4 months! Very discouraging but overall I’m happy how they turned out compared to last time. I decide to get my nipples pierced which my doctor approved because I thought it would help distract from the ugly scarring.

Do your nipples get smaller when they're cold? Because I've heard that the thread doctors use can prevent the areola from making it smaller when it's cold
No they still get smaller when erect
i personally think you look amazing! :)
Awh Thank you!! That makes me feel good because I stress about them everyday
wow you have very minimal scarring! i had my procedure done in January this year and my scars are bad, plus i still get pain in my areolas because the doctor used permanent sutures :/
I’m sorry to hear that. The first time I had it done I also had tons of pain in the one side. But now very minimal.
Hi, i had the same operation 7 months ago. my left one is more swallon than the right one and the right one has more scar and its shape is little different. But my doctor never accepts it. I saw your photos and wanted to say yours look so good compared mine and the other photos i've seen.
Thank you very much. I’m still not 100 percent happy because of the different sizes but I’m still giving it time. As they say it can take 6-12 months to heal. May need tattooing in the future to even things out.

Update POD 10

My right nipple is still very much larger than my left. The only thing that gives me hope is that the left one is more puckered so I’m hoping it will spread more and somehow even out. No pain normally but sometimes do get shooting zings in my boobs. Wearing bacitracin ointment over incision and then using micropore tape on top. I change them every few days when they look like their gonna come off

I think it's because one breast is larger than the other. Mine are the same. I was left with terrible scars in my breasts and my areolas are not smaller than prior. I'm so sad...
hello, did you get dissolvable stitches or permanent sutures?
Permanent
