Areola redo

WORTH IT$11,650
Quick update on my redo of my areolas.
I wanted them smaller still after the initial surgery. The surgeon said we can try getting them as small as possible. The procedure was done in office under local. However, only one breast at a time. So I went in October 2021 for the right and January 2022 for the left. I'm so so happy now! I have my dream areolas haha!
The procedure wasn't all that bad. I was numbed pretty well. I do have to say when he was injecting the breast with the local, man did that hurt! That was painful and I have a high tolerance for pain y'all. It was but a matter of seconds though and then I felt nothing.
I could however feel what he was doing. The tugging and pulling the smell of burnt skin. All for the name of beauty huh? I can now say that journey is over and do not plan on repeating it again. I still have to follow up with my mammogram and ult to see if the lump that formed after the initial surgery have gone away.

Very nice final results. Interestingly enough, the fat lumps eventually do seem to go away, I had 2 smallish ones that weren't too bad and not visible, but now I don't feel them at all. It seems to take about 2 to 3 years for your body to decide what to do with the scar tissue, etc. I'm still contemplating getting the tattoo on my scars but haven't decided yet. Good luck with your final healing!
What was the cost of the areola reduction>
Did you have increased nipple sensitivity for the better or worse? That’s my biggest fear with surgery so close to nipples.
Do you still have feeling in them?
Hey can you post an updated pic?

At the end of this mont it will be 2 years since my surgery. Since I've had to have a biopsy of my breast because I developed some lumps on both breasts. Which happen to be painful. Luckily the finding was negative for any malignancy.
I knew going into this in the future I would risk developing any issues. It just sucks! I also get these welts/rash on my scar line. I don't know what really is causing it but I assume it has something to do with the stitches that my body is reacting to it. I'm not quite sure but they itch so bad and get super lumpy all over the scar part. At first I thought it was because of the adhesive from the tegaderm strips. Now I'm not so sure.
The lumps I have are fat necrosis and will always be there. They are visible and I feel them. They are also painful at times and I can't tolerate wearing a bra. It's super uncomfortable. I feel like my boobs are being suffocated to death.
Overall I'm still happy with most of my result. Except the areola size. I'm set to see my surgeon in October to have them resized again. Hopefully this time smaller, and this will be done at his office using local instead of having anesthesia.

I would have left them alone. I had mine tatted to make the areola look just like yours. I love my bigger areolas
Wha!!!! Oh my! I I inquired about tattooing mine to appear smaller. So I did the opposite of you :) I'm just super self conscious about their size.
You look great! What was the overall cost?
Late in responding but it was 10k.
Oops it was 11k not 10k.
Hi! How was surgery/visit from October?
Hi, it went well. I had one of the areolas redone as I was told only one can be done at a time. It was an in office procedure this time. Under local. And I ended up getting the second areola redone in January.
Hey how did they turn out? I'm considering areola reduction also. Did you have permanent stitches?
Hi there. I just stumbled on your review and just wanted to see how you were doing? I just had a tummy talk with Dr. Restifo. Everything going great so far. I had a breast fat transfer about three years ago now with a different surgeon in Connecticut. I just wanted to let you know that in my first mammogram about a year after they found lumps of fat but by the second mammogram a year later they were completely gone! Just wondering if yours ever resolved?
Hi! That's so interesting! To be honest I haven't gone back to get them checked again because of the rework I had. However, I will follow up and see if they are still there. I do feel them still but they are not painful as they were. I'm assuming my body is absorbing the fat that got transferred there and just settling.

Well it's been one year since my surgery. I'm happy with the results, except the size of my areolas. I wish they would have been made smaller :/ still better looking than before. I'm thinking of going to my tattoo artist and see if she can make them appear smaller by tattooing them flesh color. If not, perhaps tattoo some flowers on my breasts.
I still have some numbness on my left side flank from the lipo. But was told that would eventually go away. I believe I retained about 50% of the fat. Although it has gone south as there isn't any on the upper pole. I was aware that would happen and was also told by my surgeon. Overall I had a good experience with this surgery as I had asymmetrical breasts.

Your breasts appear like they lost their perkiness but they still look nice. Your areaolas look nice as they are. Love yourself as God created you!
You are correct, they did loose their perkiness. Everything goes down south eventually :)
Amazing results! Congratulations.
Thank you! Took me many years to go under the knife for this.
