Hello,
I'm having my surgery on march 9, 2017. I'm so nervous... I'm doing it with Dr. Art Yu in Arcadia.
Does anyone have it done with him yet?
What do I need to do to prepare? Nobody in my family knows cuz they will be against it. So I just keep it quiet.
Do I need people with me first 48 hours?
Thanks so much!

Relax....I don't know your Dr., But I had mine done yesterday. You will be a bit sore in the lipo areas, but I am so happy I did it. It's a fairly quick operation and healing procedure.
March 8, 2017
Wow... I heard it is 3-4 hours long. Do you need anyone to be by your side at all? Or will you be able to help yourself within 24 hours? I need to call uber to and from the surgery center. How about your breast areas? Are they sore? Do they have incisions or scars? Thank you!!!!
March 8, 2017
I would hire a nurse. The first 24 hours is the most difficult. Especially for meds, getting up and to the bathroom. After that you maybe able to get around on your own:)
March 8, 2017
I wouldn't afford to hire a nurse. I'm living with my parents. But they don't know I'm having a procedure. I hope everything will be all right... and I can handle it.

How are you doing now? Do you still take medicine ? Can you walk around?
March 9, 2017
Very tiny incisions. It took an hour and a half. I am thin and the Dr. had to find areas to lipo and it still only took an hour and a half under twilight sleep. Yes, you Are sore..But not to the extent that you need a nurse or can't walk. I was on my stationary bike the same day. I have had lipo before, 3 breast surgeries for cancer and a hysterectomy. The worst surgery was the hysterectomy and the doctors told me I would need 6 to 8 weeks out and I was back to work in a week. Now I understand everyone is different, but really, please try and relax it is not that bad if you have the right surgeon. I wish I knew your surgeon personally so that I could calm your nerves a bit more. Like I said, in the past I had five areas of lipo done and it was sore for about a week, but if you take Tylenol or the pain meds that they prescribe and you wear your binders that they give you, it helps a lot. But you shouldn't need nurses or home care or any of that. That's kind of over-the-top. Watch some YouTube videos on this from people who have had it done. That may help. I completely took care of myself. Let me know how it goes. If you are really that frightened have the Dr. Prescribe a Valium you can take an hour before. I really hope all this helps.

Oh wow... thank you so much!!! I feel much better now... cuz I'm only doing this by myself and nobody knows, including my parents who's living with me. Where did your fat transfer to? The breast? And how is it now?

where did you have yours done Kelly?

In Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Blake.
Board certified. It's been about a year. You will lose some fat, so if you decide to do this and you have enough fat, have the Dr. fill a half to a quarter more than you want to end up at. Very few retain all the fat. Initially, you may be full and really love it; but very few retain all the fat. I am very happy I did this, but you will not get the same look as implants. You will still have the same breasts only bigger. I did lose some fat in the upper portion of the breast which is where I really wanted to keep it, but I still feel better about it than implants. If you want to see this Dr. let me know. I can refer you or I will meet you there. Like I said before, I have had a lot of cosmetic surgery. All good. Every time.
March 9, 2017
Yup. And they look better than implants. I only had about 150 CC's and usually it is done with 250 -300cc's. Due to previous lipo and being athletic, that is all the fat he could get. I am still ecstatic. I would rather not have implants and I don't want to be huge. I am very happy. It's the 4Th day. I have on the spanx to help with bruising and swelling. Is the Dr. A board certified cosmetic surgeon? Has he done a lot of fat transfer procedures? Did he come as a recommendation? Make sure he is board certified in plastic surgery and has a lot of experience with fat transfer. A lot of breast reconstruction surgeons do. If these bases are covered, don't worry. You will love it. Especially if they can get 200-300cc's. First day you may want to take off work so you can take pain pills...The heavy duty ones, but day 2 on I have only been taking Tylenol. Let me know how it goes. It's pretty amazing.

Omg.... I just got home for 2 hours ago... still sore and bruises. I woke up from a nap. I was dizzy and tried to get into my house safely after got off the Lyft car. It's funny how I sneaked in the kitchen to get some food. My dad asked why I called uber and who was it. I told him I couldn't drive that's all. They will kill or nag me for dong this. They're so conservative. So I just kept silent. It was quite painful when the doc put in the fat. I had 3 incisions on the breast . One underneath, one below nibble and one near The armpit. Is it normal how people do? I heard some people just inject it with needle they use for like Botox. Around the breast. Is it true? Anyways all done. Hope for the best. Took a lot for me to type this as it still sore....thx everyone for your support!
March 11, 2017
Glad you're O.K. Hmmm. Usually needles are used to inject fat, not incisions. What would you need incisions for? Never heard of that.
March 11, 2017
So how your doctor do it? No incisions at all? Just needles inject around the breast? Mine was like the Canulla or sth....
March 12, 2017
Yes. Little small syringes.
March 12, 2017
They use cannulas to remove the fat during lipo. Injections for fat. How you doing? I'm still sore, but really pleased. I go in for my 1week follow-up this Thursday.

Glad your surgery went well! Hoping you'll post an "update to your story" soon!

I see you made a comment below but sometimes the comments get lost in the thread, so an "update" is easier to see. Congratulations!

I think WI has a lot of great cosmetic surgeons. You get a real natural look. I would do cosmetic surgery here before California for sure.

Did you end up doing this??? How did it go for you??

So I feel ok. The breast still feel so tight. And the thigh still sore, but no bruise in the thigh yet. I got 3 incisions total for each breast. You can see one under each breast here. Is it the way people do?

Usually fat is transferred via needles. I don't know why you would have incisions.
March 11, 2017
I guess that's the needle that they used. Did you have "hole" like mine where the needle puncture the skin?
March 12, 2017
No. No incisions. The needles are pretty small.
March 11, 2017
how many cc?
March 11, 2017
They said 250 cc on left and 245 cc on right
March 22, 2017
Hey how's it going? Are you happy so far? Any pain at all? Hope you are doing OK xx
March 28, 2017
Hello, I'm doing well. No more pain. Just numbness in my thigh.
