Worked for me! I will definitely get it done there again

I am in my early thirties, 5 ft 5 and have always been very slim. Despite being skinny pretty much everywhere else, I have always had a rather chubby face. When I was younger, I still had definition and all the fat was where it should be so it looked cute. However, as I've gotten older the fat has started to descend down my face and to collect underneath my chin - thank you gravity! I was horrified to see pictures of my side profile at certain angles where there was no discernible chin if I was talking or laughing - there was just a straight line going from the base of my neck to underneath my mouth - no profile at all.

So I got one course of Aqualyx for £400 to see if it would help. The procedure was rather painful as the area underneath my chin is not a huge fat pad surface without my pulling the 'fat face' or talking/laughing (then you can see the bulge in its full glory). So I guess compared to some it was perhaps a rather 'lean' area to work with and I really felt each jab. The doctor injected a number of jabs under the chin, making sure to avoid the jugular area.

He did use some numbing cream but didn't wait for it to take effect before starting the injections, which is probably why it hurt so much. Could perhaps have hurt less with a little more time taken for the cream to take effect and if I had a solid, immobile piece of fat under there. It was very sore and had a bruised feeling afterwards and started swelling up into bullfrog state.

This continued for the next 5 days, where I just stayed home and wore a scarf when out. As the swelling subsided, I noticed that in the centre bottom underneath my chin there was a remaining, hard lump. This lump remained for weeks and gradually grew smaller and smaller. I suffered no other side effects, besides waking up in the mornings rather dehydrated. They do say to drink a lot of water and massage the area after treatment often to flush out all the broken down fat cells and ensure even distribution of the Aqualyx.

About 2 months later, I could see the effect in all it's glory - my chin was once again pointy from the front, and from the side, my whole jawline up to my ears was more defined (despite no jabs being given up into the jugular area). The Aqualyx had taken a lot of the 'padding' out of the area that was starting to make the bottom half of my face look heavy and middle aged. I now have a discernible neck and chin when I laugh and talk and those surprise, unflattering pics from the side can't do their worst anymore!

And this was only after one treatment about a year ago. It was suggested I go back after a few weeks for another jab but it's quite costly for me and I didn't feel I need it but when I do have enough money again, I will definitely get it done there again.
