Aqualyx on Stomach
I decided to try aqualyx because after having two children my shape had changed dramatically, even though I was exercising regularly and eating healthy I could not get rid of some stubborn stomach fat and muffin top, even though I’m not very large I desperately wanted to get rid of the fat on these areas. I am 9 stone 3 and 5 ft 3. After going hell for leather eating 800 calories and hammering the exercise for a family holiday these stobborn areas didn’t change that’s when I looked into something to give me a boost. I found Aqualyx and even though I struggled to find many reviews for this treatment I decided to give it a go. It costs £150 per area (heck of a lot cheaper than lipo) and it promised minimal down time and good results.
After researching places that offered treatments nearby I booked in for a consultation. This was with a reputable company and the consultant was an ex gp, very knowledgable and super friendly, I decided to go for it. The procedure wasn’t too painful I was injected 4 times in all (2 x stomach and 1 x each side in my muffin top) he used the fanning method and it only took 15 minutes to carry out the actual injections. Afterwards I swelled up (which I was told this would happen) and I felt very tender, especially in my sides. The tenderness was actually worse than what I was expecting, I was told to take paracetamol if needed which I did need to take for a few days. Due to the tenderness I couldn’t exercise for 2 weeks but even then when things ‘jiggled’ it was painful probably for 4 weeks. I also bruised quite badly on one side.
My consultant said I would need three sessions to get the results I wanted and could be administered every 6 weeks. After six weeks I have lost 2.5 inches off my stomach and can see a slight difference. Unfortunately due to civid-19 I cannot have my second treatment which would of been today.
I decided to write this review after I struggled to find reviews for Aqualyx on the stomach area. In all I was excited to carry on having the next two procedures and will do so when I am able to.
In all I think one session on its own is probably not worth the soreness I felt however on completion of the recommended three sessions you would see quite a big difference for the cost, especially loosing 2.5 inches in 6 weeks. I must add I have carried on exercising and eating healthy.
