So. I think from both my rounds of aqualyx that it was round the 8 week mark that I started thinking my face looks different. When I take pics now; the space between my cheekbones and jaw is hollow looking where before it was chubby. I have no doubt that aqualyx works. I’m sadly not sure it’s made me look better, although I hated those fatty pockets on my face, the hollow face look Makes me look masculine and has given my face an angular look which is a bit strange. My face is very difficult to understand and what makes it unattractive I think. I still think my jawline has a bit too much fat (just below where round 2 went) but I don’t know if having it removed with more aqualyx is going to continue making me look more hollow and masculine .
What I will say from my journey is:
1) if you’re getting aqualyx or kybella ON your face, make sure your Dr is experienced enough to know to use a v small amount (1 vial) as removing fat from face can be drastic and is impossible to replace if you don’t like the results
2) be very patient waiting for results, for the first 8-9 weeks you will think it was a waste of time. Even after then it can be hard to work out if there’s a difference but with 2 rounds you will see it
I imagine under the chin it’s less risky of course re: accidentally removing too much. I’d still say if you have a big double chin then save all this hassle and get under chin lipo which is 1000x easier

5.5 weeks post round 2
I felt like around the 3 week mark I looked back to baseline (I think). But since then I’ve been feeling uglier than usual. I’m not sure if I’m just examining my face more than I ever have or if it’s still swollen or something? :( think it might just be the former. We’ll see I guess

3 wks + 1 day post round 2
What is going on, I still don’t feel back to baseline. I’m still finding it harder to look nice or as nice as I can usually. Bottom of my face still looks overly round. I’ve cancelled completely on my date as the excuses were getting too long & I don’t feel I look good enuf to feel confident on a date! I felt the swelling resolution was making a similar progress to last time and then all of a sudden around 2 wk mark it just stopped improving. I went on a sunbed on about 2 wk mark & then I felt the swelling got worse / stopped improving so maybe I irritated it by doing that and it’s just not recovered?! :( or maybe I’ve just always been this ugly and just examining it more now. But I don’t think so :(

Did you cheeks/face swell up much after your treatment as I’ve had chin and want cheeks done but the chin swelled and bruised so much it’s putting me off.
