Healing has been pretty good. I still haven’t gone to get a regular bra or have a fitting. I will go around the 12 week mark. I feel like this is pretty much the size I will be, though. I’m very happy with the size.
I’ve been back in the gym, but running and jumping are still not very comfortable. I also still can’t lay on my stomach, but laying on my side is getting better.
I went to the local farmers market and both a huge aloe Vera leaf. That’s the only thing I’ve been putting on my scars. I also forgot to mention that from day 1, I was sucking on those little vitamin C drops that I picked up at CVS. I think the extra boost of vitamin C aided in my healing.
Hope all the ladies are healing well and doing great!!

6 week post op

BoobGate2018
Had my 6 week post op visit. Hugged the doctors again lol I am cleared for all activities and I can start putting oil on the girls and any scar treatment that I wish. They didn’t really sound like they believed too much in any particular product. For now I will use coconut oil.
I am still a bit sore and can’t run or lay on my side comfortably, but I have been going to the gym and riding the bike and doing the treadmill.
I have to follow up again in May for a 6 month check up.

Healing continues. Still a bit sore. If I wear a bra, my nipples begin to hurt after about 2 minutes, but it’s also too uncomfortable to be without a bra. So far my compromise has been to wear my old nursing tank tops.
Incisions look great and all the tape has finally come off.

The one pic with the scab should read left breast, not right. Also, I have not put anything on my scars yet. I have a follow up appointment next week and I will make sure the wounds are all closed and confirm I can try putting stuff on them

Looking great! I haven't been on here in a while. I hope your holidays were great! Your incisions look good. Do they still feel swollen? Have you measured your size yet?
January 11, 2019
Hey there! How are you? I don’t feel swollen, but I haven’t gotten measured yet. Pretty sure I’m going to be like a DD..... maybe lol I feel like it’s taking me a long time to be able to move freely. I’m still pretty uncomfortable. I’ve gained weight too and can’t wait til I can move better. How’s are you and the boobies? Lol

My breasts still have some harder tissue in them under the surface in some areas mainly surrounding areola and there is still some discoloration around my areola too. Also my horizontal incisions are still have a tightening and stinging sensation every now and then. I feel like it occurs more when I wear a tighter bra or if I have been very active during the day. But with that being said, the doc did say that it takes 6 months to a year to heal and this is surely part of the surgery process. I will probably post an update this weekend with photos if you care to take a peek. I gained some weight too girlie. It was definitely difficult to bounce back since my surgery was right before the holidays and get in that momentum. Im sure it was even more difficult for you all who had your surgeries between holidays. But it is a new year and we have new breasts to work with :). I am confident that you'll get into a routine to help with that. I'm going to Cancun in early April and I just bought my flight this week so it's on and popping now lol

Hi. You mentioned Dr. Garrett and Dr. Chopra did your surgery, but who operated on you? I just wanted to know who to ask for when inquiring about a breast reduction at their residency.
January 17, 2019
Hi! Ask for Dr. Garrett at Cooper Division of Plastic Surgery

Your scars look great! Are you using silicone scar strips? Or do you have fantastic skin?
January 17, 2019
Awwww is love to say I have fantastic skin, but I think it may have been a great surgeon. I have not put anything on the scars at all. I will update after my appointment tomorrow and then I will probably start using whatever they recommend. I am so happy at the way the scars have turned out!!! Thanks :-)
