WORTH IT$7,440
After 2 children which were both breastfed, my once nice breasts sagged and were absolutely ugly. I decided to get saline implants in 1998, as they were safer at that time than silicone. My breasts were okay, but without a lift, still sagged somewhat. I have not had any bad experiences, but decided I want to be natural, and have them explanted. I will upload photos in my next posting.

My surgery is set for Mon., April 20. 2015. Hopefully I will be the first case of the day with arrival at the hospital by 5:30 AM. I am a bit nervous, but at the same time looking so forward to being natural again. I actually threw out my 38D bras today. I purchased two post-surgical compression bras and will show them to my PS when I go for my pre-op consult on Wednesday, the 15th. The receptionist said she booked me for an hour long appt., so I am ready with questions and looking for the reassurance he can give me. My primary doctor ordered a patch to wear behind my ear, and also medication to be placed in my IV for nausea. I will post more following my appt. on Wednesday. Seven days until freedom from these water balloons.

My PS was very comforting and reassuring. He had his PA in the room, as she will be assisting in surgery. He will be doing the lollipop technique for the lift. He said he might not need to do a capsulotomy, depending on what he finds during surgery. He wants me to discontinue Vit. E 400 mgs and also Fish oil starting on Friday due to complications it could cause with bleeding. I showed him bra I bought for post-surgery which is from Moldeatte. He does not want me wearing a sports bra. He also suggested I buy nursing pads for the aerola and mini pads to be placed under the breasts post surgery using just a light amount of Vaseline. Surgery will be approx. 2 - 2 1/2 hrs. I have the RX for pain meds. He figures I will be about a 34-36B, which is actually better than I thought. I will be shopping to get groceries, etc., cleaning the house, and getting everything in order. My hubby will be with me through Wednesday. My first post op will be Tues., April 21. My PS said this will be the roughest I'll feel, than I should gradually feel better each day thereafter. I'm anxious for this surgery to be over and done with.

Did you have only one consult? I read that we maybe should have a couple to choose from. But mine cost 65.00 and I know that sounds cheap but I am tempted to go with the one I got! I didn't have any concerns with her and am confident to move ahead. Just curious but so excited for you! What type of lift will you have?

I went for 3 consults, which included with the PS who originally placed them. His price was $1,000 more than the one I chose to do the surgery. I was originally given the price o $9,400 which included silicone implants with the lift, however, after much thinking and praying, I decided to go with the explant and lift only which came to $7,400. I am scheduled for 7:30 AM tomorrow, with arrival at he hospital by 5:30. I have the house cleaned, groceries and meals done for next week and my meds all ready. My PS prescribed Percocet and Cephalexin. He said I should also get some Miralax in case I get constipated, and also Benadryl if I experience any itching. I plan on taking Ginger Root with the Percocet to offset nausea in case I don't eat enough when taking it, which the pharmacist okayed. I purchased several bras from suggestions on this site. Fruit of the Loom - hook/eye closure in the front, and Danskin Now zip front compression bra, all from Walmart. I purchased 2 other from Amazon which open in front from Moldeate which I will be using for the first few weeks. My PS liked this type of bra. I will keep you updated following surgery depending on how coherent I am following surgery. Thanks for your interest in my journey to freedom:)
