Everything is back to normal, Im very happy with my new look. Gums still sensitive, and can't really feel my chin, but I thats nothing I think about in my daily life. All good so far!
So, I write this review only a week after coming...
So, I write this review only a week after coming home from the 2passclinic. Im not transgender but I contacted Dr Bart Van de Ven cause I thought my chin was a bit too big in comparison the the rest of my facial features. I got to the clinic the night before surgery, Ive had cosmetic surgery before so I was not too nervous (until I was about to sleep the night before haha)
However, the guesthouse on the the top floor of the clinic is absolutely amazing. I felt so welcome from the first second I stepped into the clicic and the staff is truly amazing. It was really good to be able to share experiences and talk to the other patients staying at the clinic. At surgery day everything went very quick, I found the team to be professional and easy going and it def calmed me down. Waking up after surgery I felt quite good but of very stiff and extremely swollen haha (looked like a football)
The recovery in the guesthouse was very good, I have only positive things to say! Had a really sweet night nurse that took care of me after surgery and also the guesthouse resident and Elli in the reception where amazing and really made me feel so cared for. Also had some good chats with other patients in the evenings.
I stayed at the clinic in total 4 nights and got home Friday evening. Coming home after surgery was quite a struggle and cause of the swelling I was very nervous about the results. I also felt very tired and lonely. At first I didn’t plan to stay at the guesthouse at all and book a separate hotel, Im so glad I didn’t, cause the nights after coming home and being alone was def the hardest. Ill recommend future patients (especially if traveling alone) to stay a week at the guesthouse if possible. One of the first night home by my self I almost had a panic attack cause I couldn’t recognize my face in the mirror. Now Im feeling better and better for everyday that goes tho, and I can see the swelling is starting to go down and my own features are slowly coming back.
I really freaked out at day 4-5 cause my face was so swollen I couldn’t even recognize myself in the mirror, but now at day 7 I have to say that I look really good. Its early to say but I do think that I got exactly what I was asking for.
Have a bit of sagging skin it looks like under the chin, but I hope its just swelling and that it will go down over time.
Overall I had a great experience at the clinic and so far Im really pleased with the new look Dr Bart has given me. Hopefully I still feel that way in a few weeks as well.
