I am a 63-year-old transwoman undergoing the transition. The obvious problem are the facial features. I underwent a two-staged procedure, step 1 in Jnauary 2016, step 2 in June 2016. Step 1: Forehead recontouring, eye brow lift, correction of drooopy eyes, lps lift , lipofilling of the lips, mandible correction making the jaw smaller. Step 2: Nose correction including a bent septum, face lift and tracheal shave. Each step cost roughly 14000 Euros Aneasthesia time 6,4 and 4,5 hours respectively.
Prooperatively, the goals had been extensively discussed and pictures taken that allowed for a computer simulation of the achievable results. The goals were all achieved and have turned me from being a very handsome but very male man to being an attractive woman looking 45 , not 53 year, but not looking like someone who underwent surgery.
Pain? Minimal, paracetamol was enough.
Bleeding? None , but off course quite some bruising which, after the massive bone work in step one, took 6 weeks to disaoppera
Swelling: Off course, initially for about 8 weeks. Step two has very littel swelling, mainly above the adams apple
Post operative care: very good, saw the doctor every two days as scheduled, stayed for 5 / 7 days
Room quality etc: very good
Staff: extremely attentive

I post these two pictures. Mind you, it is only 3 weeks after the second surgery

Things are doing fine. Just under the eyes the hematomas fade slowly and the nos is still not completely free, passing, however is 100%!Mind you, the funny part is that the nose job was the most unpleasant part, maybe due to the blocked airways in the first 2 weeks!
