Day 3

Okay so I'm finally back home with my mum and son. I've never missed home so bad.

1st day post op was intense to say the least.
I wasn't warned about this but when you get intensive lipo your blood sugar & hemoglobin levels can drop dramatically so if you can grab something sweet as soon as possible when you come round.

I was offered coke but it's not my fave so I took water & ended up going back to the hotel had some fruits and that and then the next morning I had numerous dizzy spells & then fainted and woke up on the floor lol I'm laughing as this is the most typical thing to happen to me. I'm clumsy super clumsy.

But yes ladies most important thing is to keep your sugar and energy levels up. Even though you're most probably not going to feel hungry afterwards.

Other than that the burning sensation is annoying as hell but I'm sure it'll get easier with time. I'll upload some pics in a second.

Thank you for your support this far & happy healing! Xx

Pre op & Post op

Okay now that the negative bit is out the way. The clinic is brand new apparently it re-opened last week & it is actually really lovely & high tech.

I was put into a room and asked to change into my gown. Boy was I nervous. I can't remember if I mentioned I'm here by myself. But yeah, so a nurse came in who was super friendly and put the IV drip in to get me set up then shortly thereafter Dr Van Look came in with a smile asked if I had paid his wife I agreed. Then he proceeded to mark me up.

I asked if he could possibly make my bum more defined possibly when he's on my back area as he does liposculpture. He said he'd have to transfer fat & it would be more expensive so we left it there.

He walked me to theatre they connected me up. Then next thing you know I was out I don't remember shutting my eyes, I do remember panicking as I started to feel woozy as I've never been put under.

I woke up with NO pain or uncomfortableness. I was back in the room I started in on the bed under some heated blankets. I felt normal like I hadn't just had surgery. Even now I feel normal. My throat is just really dry probably from that tube thing. But no I feel normal.

I came to within an hour still not all there I needed to use the loo so I decided that's what I was gonna do lol I just had to find it. Luckily a nurse found me and helped me as I was attached to a drip. Her reaction was funny "OMG you're up, you've just had surgery! You're a strong woman" lol. But there on out the service was outstanding they helped me get dressed and called me a taxi after making sure I was okay and well enough to go.

Back at the hotel I can walk about. It's definitely easier than a C-section that took me at least 5 days if that to stand straight. I feel normal. It's like I never had surgery.

The only thing I will say (warning TMI coming up) is that as I'm on my monthly every time I get up to use the toilet I feel really dizzy! Like super dizzy. Other than that I'm fine my bum does feel sore and looks swollen maybe Dr plumped it up for free ;)

I've got my post op appointment with him tomorrow so I'll take some pics then as I haven't removed the binder as I'm scared I won't be able to put it back on.

Also side note, ladies if you're on your period they say no tampons only pads.

Anyways I'll update ya tomorrow.

Good night x

This is just a review of service before I got my pre op done

If your thinking of using Dr Van Look this is my personal review of the service before my pre op.

So my appointment was at 12.15 a 10 minute walk from my hotel so I decided to save money & walk it.

Got here at 12pm. I was then made to wait an hour in reception after I was told Dr Van Look is with another patient and is running behind. There was no rough time frame given. Luckily the receptionist was lovely so time passed easily through conversation.

Just gone 1pm Dr Van Look's wife walks in with no apology about her or her husbands lateness. None whatsoever and invites me upstairs to their formal office to sort out all the final documentation.

After all that is done she asks me to take a seat as Dr Van Look will now be another hour. I decided to take a walk to the shop to collect some food for the hotel during my recovery in case I cannot move as much.

Basically that hour has gone and you can imagine I'm vex. I hate waiting it's my pet peeve. Especially with no apology.

So now I've been told he's going to be a further 30 minutes as his client has asked for something extra.

If I had been warned before hand that I could potentially be waiting a long time I wouldn't of minded at all. It's the fact that it was stressed to me to be on time & then they run 2 & a half hours late.

Luckily as I was on the phone to my mum I was explaining how annoyed I was Mrs Van Look popped downstairs as the clinic is on a another level and swiftly came back up with a smile explaining its your turn now.

Ladies please note I wasn't rude. I wasn't loud either. I was just sort of venting as I wanted to get the procedure over & done already.
