I had lapband in 2011, successfully lost and have kept off 125lbs. My starting weight was 303. Since then I have become a gym freak, going 5-6 days a week as well as doing cross fit 3 nights a week. However, the sagging skin remains. I have worked so hard for so long. Ready for my Panniculectomy!!

I've been contemplating the surgery too, with Dr Urqhart. He's amazing! I've had a few other surgeries with him, and I've always felt like I and my family received great care! I hope you have a great outcome, and I look forward to following your posts!

Ah thank you so much! That's comforting to know that you have had procedures by him and liked him. Thank you!!

Date for a date !
I have my 2nd surgical consult tomorrow to discuss and schedule my surgery!! Panniculectomy here I come! Although, I have to admit that some of the reviews I have read are making me a Lil more nervous. In reality any kind of surgery is a serious procedure with all kinds of different risks. It's definitely worth taking in my eyes!

Disappointment with a Happy Ending!
So I got some disappointing news at first today, that Ins. will only pay for the removal of skin below my belly button. I would still be left with the sagging skin above it as you can see from my photos. That top part still hangs over my jeans. Dr U suggested having it done anyway so that I would be completely satisfied with the results.. although I agree, that means coming up with an extra $1200. I don't just have that lying around so I was trying to prepare myself that I was not going to have a surgery date as of yet. However, my husband who would do anything to make me happy told Dr. U and I to schedule and he would have the $ needed for the entire procedure! Although I'm extremely happy, I'm also feeling a bit selfish!! But ???? APRIL 10th it is!!

Please consider removing the loose skin above the navel ....you will be so happy with the results! Otherwise you will have a muffin top....I had an extended TT but, the doctor felt I didn't need muscle repair(MR) ! I had lost 85 pounds...still had thickness but, he felt it wasn't necessary....When I was cleared post op I began workout to cardio to reduce the muffin top, my flanks & huge pubic mound. When I began to notice my abs were starting to tone up I noticed an indentation in the upper abdominal area. Sure enough it was muscle separation!
I lost more thickness & decided to get liposuction of the abs, flanks, sides, pubic mound & bra roll. It made a huge difference & now I have a flat stomach...still wish original plastic surgeon who did my tummy would have done the MR since I paid for a extended tummy tuck.
Wishing you the best and a great recovery!
