I've always bruised very easily so this doesn't alarm me. I'm take more Arnica more often to get rid of the bruising faster. Pain wise is much better with the better post op bra!!

Got to see them today
Went to my first post op appointment today. I was told Friday the day of surgery not to mess with them at all beside adding more gauges. I've very bruised but I think they'll turn out great. We took off the clip up in the front sports bra I bought for surgery (I woke up after surgery with it on) and removed the gauges that were very bloody from surgery and put a full long gauge that covered my entire chest then put on this other post op bra. It felt SO much better than the first one! It had been in that was rough on my incisions underneath my breast. I was a little surprised that my doctor didn't come in to see me or call me throughout the weekend. Regardless I think he dia a fantastic job! I'm going back in this Friday to get my stitches removed. I'll post more pictures tomorrow. Just really sore and need to rest today!

Made it!!
My surgery was yesterday. I had to be there at 6 a.m. so I literally had maybe one hour of sleep. I was so excited waiting in the waiting room that when they called my name I rushed and kissed my family and literally skipped back with a nurse. I wanted to have a postive attitude going into surgery! I havr been wanting this for so long and i was damed if i was going to act like a scaredy cat!! My anesthesiologist was literally Santa Claus!! Looked just like him which made me feel so good! They took two and a half pounds out of each breast. I did wake up in some pain but they kept putting Demerol in my IV til it stopped. Spent about an hour in recovery. The nurses help me get dressed and complimented me that I didn't wear leggings like most women do because they're harder to get on someone that's recovering from surgery. I wore black cotton paloozo type pants. Very flowy. I walked alot when I got home and did too much with my arms because I'm paying for it this morning!! The numbing medication has definitely worn off lol I was a 36 JJ
I have zero regrets!!

Well done! Now take it easy, DONT do too much too soon, even if you feel great. No lifting anything over a couple,of pounds...no kids, no cats, no crates of wine!! Lol! Sleep as much as you can, drink loads of water, eat protein and ready and heal. You look great x

I'm a overflowing DDD, back pain, migraines and having a hysterectomy didn't help either. My surgery is July 6, my husband leaves for deployment training the day before so my daughter is taking me. I'm so excited but getting nervous too. I bruise easily and anesthesia makes,me,sick. I know it will be worth it in the long run..any good advice??

Make sure you have around the clock help for atleast a week. Even if you feel better try to just rest and do as minimal things around the house as possible. Don't think a few days after surgery that you feel great and go out and do a bunch of stuff because I've seen so many girls do that and end up with infections and in tremendous amount of pain!! Make sure you have the right postop bra. One that will not irritate your incision line underneath your breast. I believe I posted a picture of one that has been a lifesaver for me! Do what your PC says. Mine told me to keep it clean and dry I've seen so many girls on a lot of Facebook breast reduction groups putting Neosporin or some type of ointment and nine times out of 10 they all end up with infections clean and dry is the best way to take care of your incisions and just leave them alone and let them heal.
