43 years old Silicone breast implants 700cc...
WORTH IT$13,000
43 years old
Silicone breast implants
700cc
over muscle
Bra size 36DDD- 36 G- 32 J (depending on brand)
5'8"
165 lbs
1 pregnancy
Did not nurse
Pregnancy was a substantial weight gain (preeclampsia)
When removed
Rupture found on left
Right side intact
As I aged they just got too heavy and began to concern me because they were due for removal or replacement in 2011.
Good while they lasted, but too big from the beginning.
Original surgeon was wonderful and the job he did was a good one, I had no issues with my implants other than the weight.
Im not counting the rupture because the implants were due to be removed for many years before. Removed them.

A little more info.
Now that I am a little more coherent I can share a bit more of my journey.
On Tuesday 6/27/17 I Explanted 700cc silicone overs that were placed in 2001. None of the data (mammogram or 3D imaging) in the last couple of years indicated that I had a rupture, but I did.
Ultimately I decided on a lift at the same time, but the decision was a very personal one, and struggled with the decision to lift, or not to lift for almost 2 months... in the end I felt that my very large size implant and relatively small sized natural breast tissue, length of time that the implants were placed, as well as the placement over the muscle were all factors favoring a lift in the long run.
I do have drains, they will come out Monday if they are not outputting more than 25 cc's each per day (and for the record, goodness, yes they are a pain!!)
I have found great comfort in this community, and hope to be able to help other women who are in this process as well.
Will update more later. Here are some more before Picts since I can't show afters yet

Yes please share your experience, I will be getting my 500cc under muscle implants removed in September, I started with 700 cc over the muscle in 1999, hv 2 children and hv had 3 BAs since plus a Peri ariola lift, I'm ready to be done with it all but am bouncing between being relieved and terrified of what I'm going to look like. You sharing your journey will help me...

thank you so much for reaching out, it makes me feel happy to think that my experience can help someone else. I know what you mean about the bouncing back and forth, I was afraid too. I had my implants a very long time, and I felt like making the decision was torture, I not only had a doc tell me that I'd be miserable without implants but a close family member too... guess what, I'm not miserable actually, I like the way I look, it's an adjustment, but I feel happy to be free. I will continue to update as time goes on but not too much has changed since the last pics I posted. Best of luck on your journey.

Nerves
I'm about to have the unveiling today, I have had bandages, drains, and a bra that had to stay in place since my surgery, 6 days ago.
I'm nervous and praying that I can be gentle with myself, and more kind than I usually am... I am trying to bare in mind that I have asked a lot of my breasts and so they deserve to do whatever they do. I need to stop placing demands on them, and be loving and accepting of myself. Big lesson, I'm sure that there will be tears.

This is a 36 C bra that swims over the layers of bandages which is surreal and abstract coming from a 34 J.
