The same surgeon did both the revision and the implant removal and lift. He worked with me on the revision from a financial standpoint and genuinely wanted to see me happy. I would highly recommend Dr Chappell.

Lateral chest wall

I'm having problems accepting the puffiness on my lateral chest wall (side boob) area.
I don't know for sure yet because I'm very early in the healing process, but at this point I doubt that the fullness in that area is predominantly swelling. I think that it is either excess skin, or excess fat.
Either way while I am hoping for the best, I have resigned myself to the fact that I will probably need a revision to be happy with the way that my breasts look. Don't get me wrong... I can snap pics from a perfect angle and my breasts look very appealing, the angle is from the front with the camera shooting downward or pressing my arms down against that area. However when I look a myself in the mirror with out the help of the elevated camera angle, I see the lateral chest wall puffiness. Because of that my breasts appear sort of lumpy and not a pleasing shape, at least not to me.
The breast itself lacks definition.
I will wait, and be patient see what time can provide as far as shape change. But if I was a betting woman, I'd say I'm sure I'm going to need lipo or some sort of scar revision on my sides.

This is what's going on with mine, too...what did you end up doing if you don't mind sharing? I really wish I wouldn't have gotten the lift at the same time at this point!

My PS said that I need to wait until 6 months to talk about revision. At this pint I’m pretty unhappy with my sides and will ask as soon as 6months rolls around. I totally feel you. Hugs

I'd say you fared pretty well and had some of your own breast left. I had the same implants but for longer and I seriously looked like I had two giant prunes after explant. I'm thrilled after my lift but I don't look as good as you. If you had not had the lift at the time of explant and saw what you had I bet you'd be happier where you are right now..... just a thought. Hey we survived this and are healthy! All that matters. I kept shrinking for 6 months. I had the lift at six months and it's been six months since then. I think I'm finally at my size. It's still early for you. Hang in there.

6 weeks tomorrow

I'm obviously still seeing changes considering I'm not quite 6 weeks post op. I'm becoming more comfortable with the way that I look both due to improvement as I heal, and also just getting used to the new (old) me. My body does not like the dissolvable sutures and is spitting quite a few of them, which is doing a lot to disrupt the healing but I'm hopeful that that is winding down.

Wow, I think your breasts look AMAZING and I would be so happy if my post-op breasts looked like yours look already! Natural shape and everything is just great! I am happy for you and hope you are happy! Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. We are all appreciative of your openness.

Thank you. Yes- it's just like spending a lot of money on anything "new" for me... at first you think it's great. Then you start to see every scratch, and ding, and imperfection for a while, perhaps becoming a bit overly critical. Then from that point you learn to love the thing because it is yours and it has character... that is where I feel like I am with my process. I'm sure I will love them this is my third set of boobies and I loved my first set (natural) my second set (implants) and now I'm learning to love my third set (natural but lifted after explant). I'm grateful that you reached out. Hugs
