Hello everyone here!!

I am 27 years old male. I have three tattoos that i want to remove. On is kind of a leopard skin bracelet 10 cm width around the arm over the elbow, other is10 cm length black ink lined daga in my inner low part of the leg over the ankle and a black lined with soft black shadow ghost with red and yellow flames on the front of my thigh over the knee.

Since i realised that i could not stand those tattoos in my skin i start to research the difference procedures to remove a tattoo. Obviously, lasers are the best and safest method to remove tattoo, however i fond very important to understand an learn how the difference lasers work before starting any treatment and therefore to avoid spending money, strengths and patience.
One of my three tattoos is jet a blackened ink and the other two have black ink as well plus red and yellow. After reading a lot of reviews on this website, which has been extremely helpful for the appointments at the different clinics in London i have visited, i have make the decision of following a treatment with a Q-Switched ND:Yag laser to treat all the tattoes since i am gonna treat them all at once.

I am lucky of living in London, due to the fact that there are lot of clinics with the different best lasers for this kind of procedures. After eliminating most of them because they did not transmit good vibes or they look, and sorry for this, creepy, i decided to visit personally and carry on a test patch in 4 different places, each one with a different laser. Im not gonna mention them here because there is no point of making good or bad advertising of them.

I tried the Picosure laser, PicoWay and Revlite Q-Switched. I am completely aware that after the test patch it is really difficult to evaluate whether there has been any fade in the tattoo or not, although it is the best best way to compare.

Well, Picosure didn´t seem very useful in my case, even on the black inks. The test patch was carried out on the black and orange parts. Because of its wavelength, 75something nm, is not useful at all for colours like red, orange or yellow, so as you can guess, i didm´t notice any difference. When it comes to the black ink, well, i saw a bit difference but not very much.

Picoway. It seems to be a revolution, like an advanced q-switched laser. Nothing different from Picosure. Apparently, Picoway has different wavelengths to address all the colours, however after the patch test, any minimal difference both in black ink and coloured inked was noticed.

And then Q-Switched Revlite. I have gone to two places with this kind of laser. In the first they tested all the colours in the three tattoos, and right after the patch it was noticeable already the effect of the laser on the skin, The only issue is that they only worked with two wavelengths, 532nm and 754nm. I was very interested of finding a place where they have moreover the 1064 nm wavelength which looks to be the best for dressing black inks. In the second clinic i have visited, they have this wavelength plus the other two already mentioned. After the test patch i checked the most noticeable reaction over the black ink.

So all in all, it appears to be that the expertise of the technician and other factors are very important, but i personally believe that to choose the suitable laser is the most important thing and trying to stay away from the hype of which laser is better than the other one. There is a very commercial aspect in this kind of treatments. Laser companies need to show that it laser is the best, however it is not true.

As far as pricing extent, i have been quoted in the las clinic with 1064 nm wavelength i visited, 1080 Pounds for 12 treatments of 30 minutes duration to treat the three tattoos at the same time. During the course of treatments, they will address the inks separately, which i find it very good. I mean the split the inks along the treatment, first black inks and then orange and red. As far as i know is better for the body since is less aggressive for the skin and it lets the body work more efficiently. This budget, just to let you know, is half and even less than half of budgets i got from the other three clinics, which precisely are located in Harley Street.

I definitely made the decision of starting the treatments in this last clinic, which is as well located in London, with Dr professional dermatologists, who works as well in other clinics located in Harley Street.
They were more attentive, and overall they didn't charge for the test patch, what i found it very nice, not because it is free, because i says a lot about their interests.

Surely clinics at Harley Street are very good, however i did not find any difference with one i have chosen. It seems that in a certain way the prices in those at Harley Street are higher because its location. Plus in the clinic i am going to, they offer you the possibility of splitting the payment in three with no interest at all.

I will post pictures of my tattoos before starting the treatments, which i suppose will be during the first week of august, and then i will keep posting in order to let anybody here to know and understand more about all this procedures. To me all the information gathered from personal journeys, doctors and comment has been extremely helpful, so i feel in debt with all you so the best way to pay you back and contribute is giving my personal experience.

Once i start the treatment i will rate the clinic and the technician

I will be pleased of answering any questions or enquiries you want to know about.
