Fat Transfer to the Butt - Not Worth the Money or Pain. - Suwanee, GA

Still Flat
$8,000

Pros: None
Cons: the pain, the scares, and a waste of $8000. No one called to follow up on my procedure. I did all the calling.
Outcome: The fat diminishes in the butt area. It is flat again!
Dr. Jimerson only post pictures up to 3 months post-surgery. You are still swollen and it doesn't reflect the actual results. Hence, the pictures you see posted on his site are quite misleading. I am two years out after this surgery and the new butt is flat again. $8000 is not worth the pain or the permanent scares.
I was very thorough with my questions prior to surgery, I did exactly what he said, "Don't sit on it, lay on your side for the first 3 months, and make sure you it." What he fails to convey is, THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES THE FAT WILL STAY! If you are an active person such as working-out, you will loose the fat he transferred in a butt. I specifically asked him about working out prior to the surgery. He assured me I would be okay. I've learned he was more concerned about making money than telling a patient the truth. When it came to the liposuction he was supposed to do it on my waist line; it didn't get done. I gained weight for the purpose of this surgery only. My waist was the exact size in inches after the surgery. Although he states he took fat from my waist, the measuring tape stated otherwise and I wasn't a big person to begin with. He did take the fat from my inner thighs which is why I could barely walk.
Yes, I was happy 3 to 6 months post-surgery. Everyone who has the surgery is. I thought the "new butt" was permanent. Not so much!
If you are a person who doesn't work out, you may still have your "new butt" somewhat after 2 years, NO guarantees. I can say my "new butt" is TOTALLY GONE!
What disappoints me the most, is I advised Dr. Andrew Jimerson about it a year after the surgery and he just blew me off.

Interesting. Your comment sounds like an employee of Dr. Jimerson. If I were to post pictures, Dr. Andrew Jimerson wouldn't have any future patients. Remember a picture tells the truth.

Nope I'm not an employee of his. Never met nor even talk with him yet. I'm actually going with Dr Perry. I just feel in life I never listen to hearsay without proof. I'm not saying ur lying but just as u think I'm his employee u could possibly be an upset ex-girlfriend.. I'm just asking for the fairness of his future patients that u show pics to verify ur claim.

Well you are entitled to your thoughts. However, my Chase Health Advance payments, the company that finances the surgery states I paid for a surgery in which the intended results disappeared. My comments were written for the purpose of advising others to be well-informed before making a decision. That doesn't necessarily mean the doctor in mind will divulge the entire truth. ...and I thought I was informed. I asked all the questions that pertain to my lifestyle and I believed the answers I received from Dr. Andrew Jimerson. Do what you want the information and the best to you should you have the surgery no matter who you choose. If you are a person whose weight isn't proportionate to your height, you just might have plenty of fat to transfer in the butt; whereas it will remain there long after the surgery. Remember fat is just that "FAT". If one sits around and don't exercise it remains there. If one does, well it will diminish and the area will become lean.

Listen, I just want women to know the truth about what happened to me. The women who referred me was only 3 months post-surgery herself. We both have a small frame and gained weight for the purpose of the surgery. She too began losing her butt when she resumed back to her normal lifestyle which encompassed working out. I'm an advocate for working out. It keeps one healthy and prevents many illnesses when one eats healthy as well. When I consulted with a plastic surgeon post-surgery he advised that one of the reasons he doesn't recommend fat transfer is because it can be absorbed 100%. It is fat not muscle. When one works-out, one burns fat. When one burns fat, it disappears. If you have enough fat to transfer, the fat may stick around longer. Just ask plenty of questions and if they don't have pictures of patients a year to two post-surgery in the office, be leary. I post my comments because I don't want anyone to spend $8000, endure pain that feels like you've been hit by a semi-truck a and then begin to notice your butt disappear 1 year and the some more 2 years after surgery.

would you mind showing us?

I honestly do not want to post my bare "behind" on the internet. What I can consider is having my child take a picture from waist down with my work-out leggings. You will really be able to see the lack of curves.
