After 10 years of smoking last year I finally quit. It was then I decided to spend all the money I would have spent on cigarettes, on improving my skin. I've noticed fine lines around my mouth, forehead and under eyes along with a spotty reddish pigmentation along my T Zone. Not to mention the deep hollows of my pores which have been deepening over the years. After much research (thank you Realself!) I decided to try my first Halo treatment. THIS TREATMENT IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. It is PAINFUL! I entered the treatment room and had numbing cream put on my face 1 hour pre treatment.... it can only help so much. Those first couple hours your face feels like it's on fire! If you get this treatment please have ice ready on hand. I am now on day two and my face still feels some of the heat, along with swelling and the good old MENDS (necrotic debris, all the good stuff that gets zapped) needless to say you must have a few days to yourself in order to heal. I have already noticed my pores are smaller though and I'm only 1 day post treatment! I have high hopes. Please check the pictures for progress. I took many pictures pre treatment so we can see if there is a reduction in fine lines

Hi. I'm thinking about doing Halo myself but I'm really worried I might end up ruining my skin. I've read all sorts of good and bad stories. I'll keep watching your post to see how your doing. Hope you have a speedy recovery:-)

They'll be gone by the 4-5th day. I just had my 1st sessions on April 5th. Was able to wear makeup on April 9th..went back to work April 11th. I never once left the house until I was able to wear makeup.
Good luck with the recovery...wish you well! Hope the results are what you were looking for!

I've been thinking about doing Halo too. Especially since my pores are really huge. Please let us know how happy you are with pore size when you've healed up a little more. -blessings

Hello,
I am not the person in the photos but I am on day 4 of having the halo and I noticed the first day that my pores were gone. I went back to work on the 3rd day and my co worker said (almost immediately) that my pores looked amazing without knowing I had done anything!
I still have some healing time but I am already happy with the results.

Now that some time has passed, are you happy with the outcome of your Halo procedure? I am considering doing this late fall/early winter (saving up now) and really value all the communication on this RS link regarding this particular procedure.

Hi,
I am on day 5 and I still have a lot of mends falling off and peeling so I don't really know yet. I will let you know once I feel like I can see if it made a noticeable difference on my sun damaged skin! I will say that My co workers said they can see a difference especially with my pores.

I cannot wait to do this! Does anyone know if its best to do this late fall/early winter when the sun is at its weakest? I do not tan and take extreme precautions to stay out of the sun (have significant rosacea), so I really am wanting to see smaller pores, along with more clarity of skin.

I don't think the time of year really matters. My nurse gave me a powerful spf to wear. The first couple of times I went out and i was going to be in the sun I wore a hat :)
