Great news. Be sure to take pictures every couple trays. When you look in the mirror every day you won't notice the changes as much as when you compare current tray pics with your before or 1st tray pics! It's very exciting how much you can see the changes then!

What if I need a tooth pulled?

User Avatar

When I went for my consult, they said that behind my back left wisdom tooth (bottom) there was a small cyst. They said it was common and because there was no infection or irritation it would be fine to leave it. But as of today when I woke up, the back of my mouth on that side is really hurting when I bite down.

Can they pull the tooth? Will I be able to continue treatment or will I have to put it on hold? I'm so nervous. I just got started, I don't want to have to stop already.

Loose tray? Help!

User Avatar

Maybe it was like this with the first set of trays and I didn't notice.. But, when I first put my second trays in I definitely felt that initial pressure. But by the next day, when I bite my front teeth together the top aligner wiggles? Is that normal?

I'm not a doctor but it sounds like your teeth have already moved into their next position. I find my trays usually start to feel looser around the end of the first week. Though I still find if I have them out for an hour they feel a little tight again when I put them back in. Also your first trays maybe the movement is so slight it happens quicker. I wouldn't be too concerned. The real movement will start when you get your attachments. : )
