Almost 3 Weeks!!
WORTH IT
I can't believe I actually have eye lids! I'm so happy that I did this! Vision is completely normal now, I do have chemosis going on in the one eye. Dr gave me some steroid drops, but it seems to be helping.
I went out with some girlfriends last night and tried to put on some mascara (the doc told me last week to wait one more week), but my eye lashes are so strange, I can't tell if some fell out or what , they seem crooked even though I used a eyelash curler, I guess it just takes time

Day 8
Starting to feel pretty good, still a bit red around the lids lowers too, but I can see there will be an end to all of this. Last night when putting on my ointment a scab came off with a few tiny stitches on it. I was thrilled because that was itching so bad!
I can't wait to try some eye makeup. Tuesday I see the doc, we will see what he thinks.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas???????????? / Happy Hanakuh

The question marks are suppose to be Christmas trees, sorry
Looking much better. Won't be long until all bruising away and you will look great.
The bruising is almost gone, just red around the lower lids
I hope you have a smooth recovery.
Thank you every day is getting better
Thank you!

Day 4
Still have the blurry vision, getting impatient, even though I keep telling myself it's only 4 days ????

I had both upper and lower blepharoplasty on 30th November. The blurred vision has only just started to improve. As the swelling settles and your vision should get better.
Thank you Karen, that gives me hope! Some hours are good others are blurred :( How are you after all of this?
I'm 3 weeks on now and my eyes have just stopped feeling dry. The heeling is uneven at the moment, which I'm told is normal ( I have some puffiness in my right eye but my right side was worst for swelling and bruising initially). Everyone tells me i look at least 10 years younger (which is nice lol). But like you I'm impatient and want perfection straight away. I didn't think it would take months to see the end result. My surgeon is brilliant and has given me her personal number into use if I have any concerns. She is monitoring the progress and assures me it is all heeling perfectly. I was concerned that my right side would need revising due to the difference but she feels not and to give it time. How are you now?
I have the dryness too, I'm hoping that will go away. I didn't expect all these other issues. I knew I would be swollen and bruised but didn't even think it would affect my actual eye balls, but I guess it makes sense that when they are swollen it will affect the eyes. Best wishes for your continued healing.
Mine took 2 weeks. Be patient. The lower is quite a serious surgery as it affects your cheeks etc. are those stitches going to dissolve?
Yes the stitches will dissolve. It seems like a lot of them are gone, but today is only 1 week, so maybe I'm expecting too much too soon'
the blurry vision and dry eyes often impair reading for a few weeks in my experience. good luck, barbydoll
