Lip Lift and Permalip Implant Removal

I am scheduled to remove my upper lip implant on Feb. 20, and do a lip lift. Dr. Harris did Permalip Implants in both my upper and lower lip about a year ago. I will keep the bottom implant, but cannot wait to have the top removed. Like others have shared, it creates a white ridge and shadow above the upper lip. The way that it takes up that space creates a fold in between my lip and nose. I don't like the way it looks when I smile big; I intentionally try to barely smile so as not to see the way the upper implant negatively effected my smile.
My lips are naturally thin, especially my upper lip, so there really just wasn't enough room to hold an implant. That is why I believe the lip lift will be a good solution for me. It will reduce the pull of 48-years of gravity, and expose more my red natural lip.

Thank you. The bottom implant is actually un-centered by quite a lot. It is barely noticeable, but I can feel it extended far beyond the left corner of my mouth. It is apparently a long implant. The doctor suggested we leave it for now as it isn't causing any issues, and I still like the aesthetics of it.

Day of Procedure

The nurse provided numbing agent, similar to what is used at the dentist office. That combined with the non-rushed application of the shots made the process palatable. The shots didn't hurt, a few were slightly uncomfortable. Dr. Harris first moved the lip implant, and proceeded to complete the lip lift. It was helpful that he communicated where he was in the process along the way. None of it was painful. I am guessing the entire process took about an hour. I was given a cold compress, and the drove myself home.
The pre-op instructions given to me were to: eat something like for breakfast, (like toast or cereal), to help with the meds, take the valium and pain killer one hour before arrival, and wear no makeup. It would be more ideal that someone else drive you home, but I was fine and careful.

You seriously don’t look too swollen now. It looks like your ps did a great job!! I can’t wait to see updates of your lips! You’ll be in awe in a week or so. It’s the best surgery I did to maximize my feminine features! I love my lips!

Congratulations, your results look great! I also have a perma lip implant that I hate. It's only in the top lip thankfully but the result is exactly what I told the surgeon who did it I didn't want, the white ridge! I'm struggling to find a surgeon that will do both procedures (removal and lip lift) at once. I'm based in the UK but even the US surgeons said no when I asked if it was possible to do both. Did your surgeon draw the lines of where he was going to cut the skin before or after removing the implant?

Swelling slightly down after full day of icing. Yet, the photos do not seem to capture the full swelling, as in looks better than what I am seeing.
