Amazing Experience - Hair Transplant
WORTH IT
Recently, during a routine haircut, when the hairdresser showed me the back of my head, I was shocked. I was surprised to see my hair so thin along the crown (androgenic alopecia).
NOT me. NOT into it. Didn’t want to be one of those guys!
I also didn’t wanna take a bunch of drugs or use creams and gels on my head for the rest of my life. I wanted one stop shopping with quick improvement. And I wanted something that really worked.
Chat guided me to hair transplant (follicular unit transplant) and positively reviewed Anderson center for Hair. I went to my local office run by Dr. Jeremy Wetzel.
I was given nearly an immediate appointment to speak with their representative Matt Longshore, and have the procedure (risks and benefits) and expectations explained.
I was fortunate enough to be available when they had a cancellation and I had my procedure done the following week.
I found the facility to be clean, warm and inviting. The staff are courteous and professional. They did not make me feel foolish, vain or arrogant. I was treated with respect and dignity.
The procedure itself does not hurt as you are well medicated and sedated without being put to sleep. This saves risks and expenses.
It’s a whole day procedure. I can see why it’s not cheap.
I came in specifically to have the crown of my head addressed, however, Dr. Wetzel, and the Matt suggested that my hairline in the front also be slightly improved which seemed like a great opportunity to get two for one sitting. We did that.
I got graphs exactly in the locations I had asked for. Additionally, the graphs were spread apart on my head to make the look natural. There were no surprises, no gimmicks, no bait and switch.
I am currently approximately a month and a half out of the procedure and in the “ugly duckling“ phase. The hair normally falls out a month or two after the procedure then grows back in four to six months. Full results are in 12 months. Therefore it is impossible for me to judge my final outcome at this time. However, I can say that things have proceeded exactly as I was instructed they would, and I have faith in an excellent outcome.
Dr. Wetzel, does recommend laser therapy six minutes a day to help prevent future hair loss and help maintain the graphs. He also has recommended minoxidil and finasteride. I have no problem with the laser therapy and have fit it easily into my daily schedule where I use the six minutes as a time of reflection and prayer. I have not yet used either of the drugs as I am somewhat concerned about possible side effects, but I may use them in the future. If I do, I will begin using one at a time, so that if I get a side effect, I know which drug it is so that I can stop it.
If you’re loosing hair like me, I would recommend a AI search and a visit to Anderson center for Hair. Take your time, don’t feel rushed and make an informed decision.
You don’t have to be one of those guys…
