What a wonderful success story! Proof is in the pictures. :) I am so happy for you! Did you have to have a cartilage graft? Where is Umit Taskin located? Have you created a review telling about your beautifully successful Umit Taskin surgery?

Hi Starlight! Thankfully, Dr. Bridges was conservative left alot of cartilage for Dr. Taskin to work with so there was no need for any rib/ear grafts. Dr. Umit Taskin is located in Turkey. He does not have a realself profile where I can review him, I think only American doctors are on this website.

Hi darling, thanks for your review and congrats for the super amazing result. Could you please share with me in a private message some info Im searching for? Thank you. I would love to get in touch with more of his patients. My revision is complicated, he said yes to all my concerns with a lot of confidence, but I am so afraid of another surgery not being the last one... Please let me know if know more girls in the same spot like us. thx

Wow your nose is perfect now!! How the heck did the first surgeon make it bigger than before, how is that even possible?? Glad you chose the right guy the second time around, it really is perfect and looks totally natural.

He used cartilage from my bulbous nose to project my nose because it was "under-projection"

ORIGINAL POST
An amazing ending to a botched rhinoplasty nightmare
Hi everyone!
My name is Jackie. I was teased all throughout school for my "long nose". When I became 19, I decided to go to America, all the way from Jordan, to get it done. After a thorough research, I decided to go for surgery with Dr. Matthew Bridges in Midlothian, Virginia. I believed I was in safe hands since the before and after results he had were not overdone and very natural. The reviews were good.Right off the bat, when he removed the cast I noticed my nose was deviated and big. It wasn't deviated before. It was also significantly bigger than my original nose. He explained that the deviation was not because my septum itself is deviated, it's because it's more swollen on one side where he "worked more". And also that "it looked significantly bigger because of the swelling".I am a very patient person so I waited one year as I was told without complaining. After one year of noticing no change, I emailed my doctor telling him that my nose is still very deviated to the right. I couldn't even insert anything in my right nostril because the septum deviation stopped me at the entrance. Like there was no space inside because my septum blocked the way. While on the left nostril it felt like it was 90% bigger on the inside. Also, I was not pleased with the appearance as it still looked significantly bigger than my original nose. Here he explained how he could do a revision for the same fee, to which I of-course, declined. My confidence went from low to lower, I edited all my pictures and I only took pictures at a very specific angle. I sat with people at a certain angle, I was very self conscious as to what angle (even strangers) were seeing me from. I contoured my nose to where it was all black but in reality you could never mask a deviation. I tried clipping something to it to make it straight during the night. I would always cover my nose when I smiled or laughed. It was a complete disaster.6 years later living with the nightmare and after gathering the courage and trust and money to have a second rhinoplasty, I decided to have a revision Rhinoplasty with Dr. Umit Taskin in Istanbul, Turkey. It has been a year and a half since. Dr. Umit Taskin changed my life. He restored my breathing and gave me a beautiful and natural nose. He said it was a hectic 3 hours trying to restore what the first doctor did, but it was successful, and indeed I was in love from the second he removed my cast. I paid 50% less for the revision rhinoplasty than I did for my primary in America. Dr. Taskin even charges way less for a primary rhinoplasty which I wish I had with him. I waited 6 years to write this review because I was too afraid to face the facts that I had a botched nose before I had fixed it first. I kept lying to myself saying it's not too bad, I can live with it. Now that I see the difference, I feel like I have to share my experience. If I am able to help one person who's going through what I went through I'd be more than grateful. I have attached a lot of photos for everyone to view.

OMG! Your revision is absolutely gorgeous!! What a difference, it really is unbelievable. What did Dr Taskin charge for your rhinoplasty? You must be so happy!!

Thank you Adele! Yeah Dr. Umit Taskin is a miracle maker, Im not exaggerating when I say he changed my life. He charged 4,500 euros for the revision, he probably charges a few thousands less for primary.

Thank you for sharing this. I am planning to see him for my revision also. What made you choose Dr Taskin?

I was looking for a doctor that was good with revision rhinoplasty that was able to fix Dr. Matthews mistakes. I was lucky to have found a review on doctor Umit online from a woman who had a very bad primary rhinoplasty result that looked very unnatural and botched. Dr Umit gave her a nose that was a dream for me to have. So I went on his instagram and found a million before and afters of very complex revisions that he had done with consistent natural and beautiful outcomes. I sent him a message on instagram to consult him (which is for free btw) and he answered with a very encouraging message saying that I am a good candidate and that the results would be great. So I went for it! Best decision Ive ever made :)
