Ok, I'm ready to give a little back to this...

Ok, I'm ready to give a little back to this community that has helped me so much over the last year in making my decision to fulfill my dreams of having breasts. If you've written a review, I've probably read it... so, thank you!
I have had boob envy since I was a little girl. I waited and WAITED to have my own... just like my mother and sister, but that never happened for me. My breasts could fill B cups when I was heavier in my teens and early twenties. I still remember the sadness I felt as the weight started falling off when I began to make healthier food choices and exercise regularly. Over the years I've considered an augmentation, but was never ready to make that step. Now, I am ready.
I started my journey in September with my first consultation, I but didn't schedule my surgery until October. I met Dr. Fiala first and liked him immediately. I went to 2 more consultations and liked those surgeons as well. I'm not sure why I cause myself so much grief, but I agonized over this decision until I could just accept that I wouldn't make a *bad* decision. I have a great feeling about this surgeon, his staff, and my experience!
A little more about Dr. Fiala: My experience with Dr. Fiala during the consultation was just as I imagined based on what I've read about him here, the way he responds in the Questions section, and his own website. The consultation started off in his comfortable office where he asked what I wanted, gave a thorough overview of the procedure, and reviewed my medical history. Let me go back to where I said, "he asked what I wanted." This is SO important because I feel completely confident that he *understands* my vision. During the examination portion, he even stayed while I tried on various sizers. I was given a tour of the facility, went over financial matters, and was given a packet of information (I love information). So far everyone I've met or talked to has been very warm and kind!
I had my pre-op appointment today with the nurse, which included paperwork, a ton of information, and trying on sizers AGAIN. Mentor vs. Sientra. Smooth vs. texture. Moderate vs. high profile. Oh goodness! The nurse was sweet and extremely patient with me throughout this task ... and I selected the same exact implant that I chose during my consultation with Dr. Fiala. I picked Sientra's textured round 305cc implant.
On a side note- I usually take a multi-vitamin, but I did purchase the VitaMedica Supplements they offer for before and after surgery, too.
Also, I haven't really told many people that I'm doing this. I will tell a couple close friends... and then the rest can figure it out if they even notice!

Good luck!! I hope your surgery went well! I had mine at the end of September and got the exact same implants except mine were 320 cc. I hope you are recovering nicely :)

Many apologies for being slow to update. My experience with Dr. Fiala and staff has been wonderful! Even after a few days, I knew the results would be better than I had hoped for. I'm really happy I had the guts to do this! So, I've mostly been taking it easy while I wait for swelling to go down and things to relax. I will post more soon.
