Update: 2.5 weeks
Where to start... I feel like not much has changed and then I look back and see that everything has come a long way.
All of the soreness and actual pain is completely gone now with the exception of the mild cramping/tightness in the morning. There is much less swelling in the upper portion of my chest as well as sternum. I have started wearing Scar Away strips 12-24hrs a day to help fade my incision scars. The scars themselves aren't raised or anything but are still red and dark.
New changes include the extreme skin sensitivity on the upper half of the breast and nipple that feels like a bad sunburn. This started day 10 and the dr said it could last several weeks. In the last two days my actual boob crack has started breaking out in 5-10 small red acne-like bumps. I have never in my life had anything like this so its a little weird but I read on here that it can be normal temporary changes after this procedure.
Anyways, driving is completely normal now, I can sleep on my side finally, and am back to picking up 15 or so pounds safely. Overall I am very happy with the size and shape and recovery :)

1 week post!
I had my first post op yesterday and everything is looking as it should. Tape, surgical bra, and one layer of sutures was removed. Still a bit swollen and minor bruising but on the right track. Supposed to take it easy with very light use of my arms another week.
I went back to work today for about 5 hours and was completely exhausted afterwards. I need to ease back into a routine.
Oh, and this whole "morning boob" is definitely a thing- I wake up and my muscles are super tight and sore and i have carefully roll myself out of bed. After moving around for about 30 mins everything loosens up and it feels better. I'm able to make my own food and get dressed and shower now, but things like driving and reaching for things is a struggle (sore and limited range of motion for now).
I'm attaching two pics from tonight.. you can see they are still high, swollen and torpedo-ey but every day is a little bit better. Pretty happy so far!

Getting there slowly.
The pressure and tightness is improving each day. However the back pain from having to sleep on my back is worse than the surgery pain ever was. Its still a little hard getting out of bed in the morning, but at least there is no pain involved in my chest. First post-op appointment is tomorrow so I can finally get out of this bra and see them :) I have attached a photo of day of surgery vs 5 days post. There is much less swelling in my upper chest and sternum and I think I can see a tiny bit of dropping? Again, hard to tell with still being in a bra..

Dr. Fiala is both patient and understanding - two important qualities. He spent plenty of time explaining the procedure, options, and my wishes.
