2 weeks down. If you had told me a week ago I would feel almost normal by the 2nd week, I would have said No Way! But for everyone who told me to hang in there and rest, you were absolutely correct. They took the drains out on Tuesday. That was a happy day. Could not believe there was an additional 8" of tubing stuck up inside of me on both sides, but when they pulled the tubes out, lo and behold, that is what I saw. I go back tomorrow and they change the tape on the sutures. I have overdone it a bit. I find I try to do a task, and after about 15 minutes I need to rest. But each day is a better day. Still not at the point to be able to post pics, but soon. Thanks for everyone's support. It is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to everyone for your wonderful support. It is 1 week today. I went to my 1st post op this past Tuesday. Needless to say, the drains are still in. I go back next Tuesday and they said they would come out then. Tuesday was the 1st time I saw everything. Not a pretty sit, but the good thing - I had no extra skin or flab on the belly. But talk about black and blue, and yellow too. The nurse changed the dressings, told me I could take a shower - yippee! She said I would probably be too gtired to shower that day, which she was right. The lipo areas are more sore than the tummy tuck. I guarantee, last night a shower I did have. My hubby bought me a shower stool and that shower was pure heaven. I am more swollen today than all of the past week, and more fluid drained today than any other. I have energy, but when I try to do something, in a matter of minutes I am tired and have to sit down. The sitting around part is the hardest for me now. But another week and I should be good to go back to work. Hopefully by then I will be walking more upright.

April 11 went to the surgical center. The doctors and staff were fabulous. I had a tummy tuck and lipo on the inner/outer thighs and the hip flanks. They prepped me in a very serene holding room. The staff was upbeat the whole time. They took me into the surgical room, and I remember the mask going over my nose, but that is it. When they woke me up, the first thing I asked was are you ready now. That is when they said it was all done. I went home the same day, and I will say the pain was excruciating. It was more excruciating on the 12th. Towards the evening following the procedure, it was getting bearable. I don't know the results yet because I haven't seen anything yet. If I had to diagnosing, would I? The answer is yes. I was prepared in knowing it was going to be painful, so it was not a surprise. It just burns like a hot knife cutting thru you. I will update once I can see the results.
