Hi Ladies!

I'm sooo excited, and can't wait until the day that I get some love on top! I'm a 5"11, 160lb former collegiate athlete who has always wanted nice, full breasts to go along with the rest of my banging body! LOL! (Well, at least, it was banging before I had my 2nd child almost 3 yrs ago. I'm working out to get my 6-pack back by the summer!) I've always had small breasts (34A), but after breastfeeding 2 kids for 10 1/2 months and 9 months, respectively, there really is not much there. Even when I was pregnant, having larger breasts was one of the main things I was looking forward to. However, it never happened....my breasts only got fuller when nursing and went up by maybe a cup size, at the most - and this was the case for both pregnancies!
I actually contemplated getting a BA almost 10 years ago - that's when I initially researched the procedure. However, I ended up deciding to wait until after having kids as I knew that I wanted to breastfeed, and didn't want anything to interfere with that. After coming to the realization that we may not have anymore kids (I'm currently taking birth control pills and my youngest will be 3 next month), I decided that now was the time to do something for mommy!
I went on 3 consults this week, and decided to go with Dr. Bauer and his staff at The Swan Center (my 1st consult). From the moment I called to schedule my consult, to spending 2 1/2 hrs at my actual appt, I definitely felt very comfortable with Wendy (my patient coordinator), Katie (scrub tech and nursing student), and Dr. Bauer. I had so much fun with Katie trying on implant sizes, and she was also very knowledgeable about the procedure as she had it done by Dr. Bauer several years ago. Also, since she's a scrub tech, she's in the OR with Dr. Bauer week in and week out. Dr. Bauer had a pleasant spirit, and his credentials speak for themselves. Also, I immediately hit it off with my patient coordinator, Wendy, as we spoke on the phone for about 45 mins when I called to schedule my consult! Although I got all of my questions answered during the consult, in hindsight, I wish I would have spent a bit more time with Dr. Bauer in order to get the details of the procedure straight from the horse's mouth. But no worries as I plan to make up for it during my pre-op!
My goals are to be a very natural small to mid-sized C cup. I am going with moderate plus silicon unders with somewhere between 325 and 350 CCs.
I've learned so much from the postings on this site within the past month, and thought I'd pay it forward, along with, reach out to other young ladies who are and have gone through with this procedure for their advice. So, let the journey and countdown begin!

Be Blessed,

Good luck with your BA. I'm originally from GA near Georgia Southern Univ. myself but married a guy in the Navy after I graduated from UGA. I too BF my 2 kids and decided to have a BA when my youngest was 2 and stopped nursing. Some before pics and wish pics are helpful to the rest of us here on our journey. Don't be frightened by crazy big sizes some of us have (32E/32DD myself) because I don't look very big in clothes at all like maybe a C.

Thanks for your feedback, Iris34! I'll definitely keep that in mind, and about to post some pics, now.

Congrats on your decision. I am also from the Atlanta area. Keep us posted on your progress. You will have MANY questions and concerns. I was also a 34a which honestly was to big and went to a 545cc sub mod profile and very pleased with the results. But to be honest I wish I would have went a little bigger. Keep us posted.

Thanks for your feedback, mlajones! I've read many reviews that state they wish they would have gone bigger. So, I believe I'm leaning towards the 350cc. As you'll see from my pre-BA pics, I am quite flat and my ribcage is also narrow. So, going anything larger than 400cc simply won't be supported by my frame. I look forward to trying on the sizers, again, at my pre-op. But, more than likely, I'll allow Dr. Bauer to determine the best size to achieve my desired results.

Only a couple more weeks before your BA! I am so excited for you. It was such a good experience for me so I believe that you will experience the same :) Let me know if I can help in any way. My only suggestion is whatever you size that you tried on and happy with just add another 25cc on top of it as it will lose 25cc when it goes under the muscle. It's just my opinion tho but trust me ;)) Best wishes to you and can't wait to see your results!!! Please keep us all posted.

Yes, I am excited as well! Just feel like I have so much to do before my BA! Thanks for your suggestion as I have heard and read that countless times. Also, what would be your top 3 pieces of advice for post op, thus far?

1) when you get home from the surgery try to drink at least 2 big bottle of Gatorades to flush your system from anesthesia. Also drink plenty of water with LEMON to detox your body. 2) Buy at least sz.38 front hook sport bras but just buy 1-2 (for the first 3 weeks) as the swelling will go down eventually and sz38 will be too big for you in a long term. I bought my sz.medium and 34D and I broke the zipper on the medium ones while tried to zipped it up on Post-Op day 1 and the 34D ones are too tight around the band lol 2) The prescription pain pills are your best friend for at least 3 full day every 4 hours or as listed on the bottle. 3) Healthy food will help you not gain any weight while recovery and it will also help to have an easy fast recovery. My mother (Asian mom) tell me not to have any alcohols beverages, no dairy, no egg no seafood except deep sea fish a lot of veggies and low sodium on everything for 3 months. I am trying my best to do what she said as she had a BA before and her scars underneath her creases are invisible. P.S. I am dropping 5lbs in 5 days so far as I've been followed her diet even though my implants weight about 1.5lbs but I think the no alcohol play a big roll for me as me and my hubby normall drink a bottle of wine a day and some hard liquors (vodka) every now and then as it is hard for us not to drink as we own a restaurant that has 4 bars, quality control right!? Lol. 4) Just need to add one last thing if you don't mind. Before one week Post-Op day 1-6 even though somehow you feel great and sort of normal please don't do anything over your limit (go for a shopping trip, fast walk, driving and whatever you think that sick people shouldn't do and etc..) so please take it easy for at least one week! I know it hard and as it is very hard for me to not be independence. Lol Good luck with your journey. I know that you will do great! xoxox

Wow! Thanks for the advice! I plan to find out at my pre-op what other bras my nurses recommend. For the 1st 5 days, I'll be in bandage wraps, then, my PS will provide a post op bra (Marena) to wear at my 5 day checkup until week 6! I've never taking narcotics, and so I'm on the fence with that....will probably try to wean off as soon as I can! I believe I have a pretty high pain tolerance (gave birth to 2 kids, all natural, no meds). Now, the challenge is going to be eating healthy - especially for those 1st few weeks when I can't participate in my normal, high intensity workouts. I've already started imagining all of the sweet treats that will make me feel better during week 1! LOL! Also, I will make a conscious effort to relax during the 1st week, and take it easy. Again, thank you so much for your feedback! I'll keep you posted!
