I am 31 years old, of Asian descent, 5'6", and a 34A/B... or shall I say, WAS a 34A/B. I always felt that my breasts were not proportional to the rest of my body. Clothes did not seem to fit right, bathing suits did not look good, sick and tired of purchasing super padded bras, and I could never get the right amount of cleavage for those sexy nights out ... or any for that matter. I have always wanted a fuller bust, but I am a hypochondriac, so elective surgery scared me. None the less to have something implanted into my body. This all changed after I had my consultation with Dr. Amy Alderman (more on this wonderful person to follow).

Consultation: I never felt rushed. Dr. Alderman and nurse Bailey answered all my questions. Never did they make me feel as if any of my question were silly. Remember, I am a hypochondriac., so I am pretty sure I asked some really "out there" questions. A lot of education and information was provided to put my anxiety to ease. This dynamic duo created an atmosphere that was very calm and comforting that I knew I was in great hands. That day, I decided to go ahead and schedule for the breast augmentation with silicone implants.
Surgery: Day of surgery I was a nervous wreck. The nursing staff was absolutely amazing. Calming, nurturing, competent, safe, are just some of the characteristics that these staff members possessed. Dr. Alderman came in and she went over the surgery with me. The anesthesiologist came in.... from there on, all I can remember is getting wheeled out to the car.
Post surgery: that very night, I was called a couple of times, just so they could check up on me. The recovery process was not as bad as I imagined. As long as you follow the directions provided with the follow up visits, it is smooth sailing. Being a hypochondriac, I probably called once a week with some concern. The nurses called back in a timely fashion and helped answer all questions. Once again, the nursing staff is magnificent.

FYI: The first month, one can get a little discouraged after surgery, because it is not a pretty sight. But patience is a virtue dear grasshopper... I am six months post surgery, and I absolutely love my look. I am now a 34D, I love how clothes look on me, and those who know I got the procedure, compliment how natural they look.

Dr. Alderman, if I could sum it up, is a dream come true. She listens, is easy to talk to, and is available when you need. During the consultation, I described to her the look that I wanted. I feel that the results I have gotten are 1000 times better then what I have envisioned. She is great at what she does and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a plastic surgeon.
