Allurion Balloon
Went direct to hospital and their private ward. Got details of their top guy. Really helpful. Proceeded. Got all pre procedure meds. Swallowed balloon (challenging). Expected to feel terrible for next 72 hours and did. Remainder of that first week marginally improved. Now flat lining. Constantly feeling sick. Can’t sleep as I sleep on my front and doing so is uncomfortable due to the “full” balloon stomach. Severely constipated despite medication to address. Continuously weak and touchy. Could fall out with my shadow. Very emotional. Never felt so unwell. Given more anti sickness meds but am developing an inability to swallow any meds. (Psychologically affected by swallowing that huge balloon and the constant nausea). Can’t brush teeth without vomiting. Breath so vile. Sex life none existent as I feel so unwell constantly. If I could get “off” this journey I would. It’s really horrid despite my having lost 1.5 stone in 3 weeks. They say the nausea will pass. After 4 weeks I dispute it. And the stomach cramps also continue!
