I've had two rounds of fat transfer to the breast done over the last 10 years after an explant. Both were performed by Dr. Bednar and I have been very pleased with the results of the FT procedures, the practice in general, and the staff. I have developed cysts in the breasts after both procedures that I've had to have drained which is unfortunate and caused some issues, but I'm still happy with the result overall and compared to what I would have been left with otherwise.
Over the last year I had some significant weight loss after a traumatic incident and PTSD diagnosis, and lost much of the fat in my breasts as well. As they are much smaller now, I noticed some contour irregularities I wanted fixed from scarring from one of the cysts, and to add some upper pole fullness. Due to the cost, and not wanting to add a lot of volume, just evening some things out, I opted for 50CC of alloclae per breast, 100 in total.
The procedure itself was done under local anesthetic and it was EXTREMELY painful. ( I was not at all prepared for that amount of pain. The staff was very helpful after, trying to help me with my pain, but there is no way I would ever undergo that procedure with local anesthetic only in the future.
As for my result, I am really unsure. I expected alloclae to be similar to fat transfer, but so far the process and outcome is nothing like it. I realize my procedure was only 5 days ago, and I am hoping and praying that it settles and I end up with a good result, but as of now the material itself is very hard and lumpy, and I'm also concerned about the placement. There are notable gaps in between where it was placed (up high on the breast and also down low, so there is a 'valley' in the middle of one breast. And the alloclae was injected up high on both breasts and is sitting so high it looks very out of place, my current breast shape is very off. As of now, my breasts look and feel deformed, and I am hoping I didn't just pay 13K to ruin my breasts. I am going to be patient and trust that Dr Bednar knows what he is doing. I have posted some pictures for reference.
There's minimal aftercare and all I've been told after sending in these photos and expressing my concern is to massage them gently. I'm wondering if the massage will be helpful in getting the material to settle into the right places? If anyone has undergone this procedure and has any words of hope and wisdom for me I could really use it.
