Tattoo Fade for Cover Up

About 2 and a half years ago I started my half sleeve. From the get go it was a nightmare. The work was awful and I had an infection (odor, oozing, huge scabs). I followed up with a new artist at a different shop to continue the work; he made things worse. Finally, I found someone who does excellent work and did as much maintenance as she could to help. I also had her complete the sleeve. No matter what she did and as good as an artist as she is I was never satisfied. I had such a bad taste in my mouth from the initial session. By now I've had 3 different artists, 3 different styles, techniques, etc. and it shows. After many, many months of considering my options I decided to start laser removal. My plan is to fade enough for a half sleeve cover up. My next appt. is the 24th of this month to start the inside. I'll continue to post progress pictures of my journey.

Wow, the fading you're seeing already is amazing! Do you have an idea of how many treatments you'll need?

I hope no more than 3-4 for outside & inside. I'll need to meet with the artist around then to see if he can cover it or else back for more sessions.

Forearm Swelling

JMT_1986
About a day and a half post treatment my elbow and forearm swelled up pretty bad. It's still swollen 2 days later, but not as bad in the elbow. It is very difficult to elevate and ice at work. Hopefully the swelling goes down significantly tonight. It's an uncomfortable feeling

JMT_1986
Exactly 1 week after first treatment. Forearm swelling is gone. Treated area still feels like a sunburn.

You're healing well. Your description of how the skin feels post treatment is bang on -- just like a sunburn! Happy fading!
