Decided to have my breast implants removed after having implants since I was about 20yrs old. I had saline over the muscle but then at 25 had them replaced with silicone under the muscle (way better, more natural appearance and look). Developed an auto immune disease not long after getting my implants and never thought it was from my implants until my cousin who had silicone implants developed the same auto immune disorder, which got me thinking my implants could be a possible cause. At age 36 right after having my second and finally child. ( my 1st was bf my implants) my breasts were huge a 34ddd-e. They were way too big I felt for my tiny frame And I was also worried they may be contributing to my enlarged lymph nodes and joint pain from my auto immune disease. So I decided to remove my implants. Now that they have been out for almost 6 months. I'm a bit unhappy with the appearance but my joint pain does feel a lot better and my energy level has greatly improved. Wanted to share my story n a few pics so others can see what to expect from a removal of large implants without a replacement or lift. Prior to any of my implants my natural breasts were perfectly even and symetrical. Now my right nipple is very indented. My left is slightly indented. I was told Bc the Dr. That placed my silicone implants thru a nipple incision that even tho they were removed under neith the breast the old scar tissue on my nipple , and swelling was causing this and it would improve over time. It has not improved so far. And may even look a lot worse than it had right after my surgery. Btw I never had this problem bf my implants or with my implants. Only after the removal did it start.

Went back to the Dr to see if there was anything he could do about the indents right under my nipples that appeared after removing my implants. Dr. Chung let me know they were due to scar tissue from my old incisions. He said he can fix them by removing the old scar tissue and re- stitching the area that would then lie flat instead of being indented. I was happy he was able to correct this problem and even offered to do it at no charge to me other than the surgical room fee. I am having the procedure performed on 11/19/15 and will post photos of the results shortly after. Dr. Chung is a good surgeon and I'm confident we will reach a pleasing result. You know a Dr cares when he is willing to work with you to fix a problem even if it was caused by old scar tissue when my implants were placed from a prior Dr. I look forward to sharing my results with the real self community.
BTW. I am still happy with the decision I made to remove my implants. I feel lighter and confident in my new skin. My only regret Was feeling I needed to get the implants in the 1st place. As I've gotten older I realize what's important in life. And I really like the look of smaller breasts. Plus they are super slimming in clothing.

That is great that he is willing to help. He should. I myself am a skeptic and would think that has was blaming it on my prior surgeries when it was something he caused. That is why he is willing to fix it. Not take responsibility for it happening, but look like the good guy for fixing it. See, I said I am a skeptic. :)
All that matters is he is going to fix it. I wish you the very best and just be glad they are out. I bet your Autoimmune disorders continue to get better.
I am 3 months since my Explant and my right breast, the nipple is stuck in. I am still very swollen on that side so the Dr said to give it more time, wait for,the swelling to fully go down, and since it does not hurt as much now, I am to pull the nipple out several times a day.
Best of luck to you and I hope you continue to feel better and better. :)

Yes mine was the left nipple that was indented. I was told to keep pulling it out and it would resolve on its own once the swelling went down but unfortunately for me it never went back to normal. I hope yours does but if not it can be corrected surgically.

Post op update of nipple indent repair
JoeygrlddNovember 20, 2015
Just had the surgery yesterday to remove the scar tissue that was causing my nipples (especially the left one) to look indented. So far it looks a lot better one day post op. I posted a few pics so anyone else that may be experiencing this after having large implants removed knows and can see it can be corrected. I'm happy the Dr was able to help :) ps the black looking scaring under my nipples is my stitches. They will remain in for awhile and I'm sure once out my results should look a lot better. I hope this helps anyone else that may be experiencing the same. I was lucky to have a wonderful Dr and he has a Great office/staff.

Thank you. Yes he did. I'm really happy he was able to correct the nipple indentation I experienced after initially removing my implants. It's only been 3 days now since the surgery but I am already satisfied with the results. I will post more after pics after my stitches r out and I'm a bit more healed. :)

I agree, Happy, which is why I've hidden those comments. They totally violate the spirit of this community, which is choosing health and comfort over what society might deem "ideal". I won't have it, so please PM me if you see more these trolls.
