I'm a healthy 45 year old male who takes care of himself; however, I had started to notice a slight looseness around my upper neck and jawline in the last few years. It was so subtle. No one noticed it but me but it was starting to bother me. I know a friend who had Exilis (similar treatment) done, and I was pretty impressed with the results. I liked the fact that Ultherapy only required one visit, as opposed to Exilis which requires 5-6 sessions. I was fully aware that this is NOT a surgical procedure so I had to have my expectations accordingly. That said, all I think I need was a little tightening of my neck and jawline to turn back the time by 5-8 years.
I called a few doctor's offices and made several consultation appointments. Dr. Miller was my first appointment. I sat with Dr.Miller and I expressed my aforementioned concerns. He thought Ultherapy was a great way to stay ahead of my years, and reassured me that my expectations will be met. I felt so comfortable with Dr. Miller, and I liked that the fact that he uses Twilight method during the procedure to minimize pain. Apparently, Ultherapy can be very painful, therefore numbing cream and such often do not provide enough comfort during the procedure. I made an appointment for Ultherapy right after the consultation, and I cancelled all the other appointments with different doctors.
I was a little nervous on the day of the procedure but they gave me some kind of Benzodiazepine ( Maybe Valium ?) to help me relax then I was half asleep during the procedure. I sort of remember it but I experienced very little pain. The nurse was very nice, and she knew what she was doing. She was very efficient, and prepped me so fast! The procedure was a breeze!
It has been almost 6 months since the procedure, and I can honestly say that my neck is visibly slimmer and my jawline is more crisp. Dr. Miller has a state of the art 3D imaging system that captures 3D image of your face and neck so you can see a side to side comparison of before and after images. The results are very subtle but I could definitely see some improvement. I thought I was still too young to have something like this but I just wanted to stay 6-8 years ahead of my age without doing anything invasive.
Dr. Miller's coordinator Sandi has ben very helpful, as well. She is always professional and courteous.
My overall experience at Dr. Miller's office has been extremely positive, and I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. I'm sure I'll be calling Sandi in a few years to keep myself looking like how I've always looked.
