Asian Rhinoplasty 2 Months Ago - Alhambra, CA

I am 24 years old and had rhinoplasty 2 months ago. I went to Dr. Wang's Alhambra office and had my surgery at the Pacific Ambulatory Surgery Center, also in Alhambra. Now I go to their Pasadena office where they have recently relocated. For a couple of years I've noticed that even when I'm all dressed up and have my hair and makeup done, something is still "off" about my look. I couldn't put my finger on what would put the finishing touch on my appearance until my friend got rhinoplasty. It made me realize how much my nose affected my overall appearance.
The pros of my rhinoplasty with Dr. Wang are that I am very pleased with my results and every day I feel confident about my appearance. Also, he listened to what I wanted and didn't try to give me the kind of nose that I feel most Asian women ask for and didn't try to sell me a nose that he is used to, or keen on creating. He gave me input on my choices and told me honestly about what could or could not be achieved. The con is that, in general regardless of who performs the surgery, rhinoplasty is a very expensive procedure for the average person and it took me years to save up for it.
My motivation for getting rhinoplasty was that I wanted to have the aesthetics that tie together the other features of my face and a look that matches my fashion sense. I felt that my low dorsum; flared, rounded and notched alars; and flat tip were disproportionate to my eyes and lips, and did not match the polished, clean look of my style.
My personal goals were to have a nose that looked good from every angle. I hated always having to tilt my head a certain way in photographs. I wanted a better profile, increased projection, downward rotation, and a more refined, but natural, look.
It looks so different but also extremely natural even though I'm early in my healing. When I went back to work, 9 days post op, some people did not notice that I had surgery and my friends and family say that my nose looks like I was born with it.
It changed my life because my nose is one less thing that I am aware of. It's no longer the thorn in my side when friends want to take pictures and when I go out, I'm no longer self-conscious about looking like my clothes are too cute for my face. I don't know how to state that less bluntly.
There isn't really anything I wish I knew beforehand. I had done research online for months about rhinoplasty, techniques, healing, and nasal anatomy before my surgery because I wanted to make sure that everything I wanted fixed would be done in one go.
