I have always wished to have larger, fuller breasts as I believed they would suit me. I am slim (UK size 10) and not short, but not particularly tall either (5'4"). When I decided that I wanted to go ahead now, I researched online for the best surgeons for this procedure and found Mr Ross. Mr Ross was reassuring from my first meeting. Taking the appointment in hand I felt that I had been given all the information I needed, and yet was discouraged from making any quick decisions. Instead I was advised to go home, consider everything I had learned, and try some different sizes on with my clothes (using rice bags - great and effective trick!). When I returned, my questions were fully answered and I was able to book my surgery for a few weeks time, which suited me perfectly. On the day of the surgery, I was naturally anxious. Mr Ross, his anesthetist, and his nurses were very kind, and helped me to relax as much as is possible before surgery. My room and general surroundings were excellent, and I felt in safe hands. Upon waking up, a nurse by my side ensured I was not in pain by providing me with a painkiller. I was pleasantly surprised that the pain was less than I expected. I was looked after over night before being discharged with good instructions on how to manage any discomfort and help my recovery go well. Even on day one, with the blue glue visible and my breasts swollen, I could see the surgery has excellent results. My recovery was rapid, and the pain eased quickly. Only once did I worry when I had a strangle prickly feeling in my breasts, but an email to Mr Ross at 8pm that night was responded to immediately, and a call from my nurse followed shortly afterwards. It turned out to be nothing but the effects of wearing a nylon sports bra all day and night. It was easy not to worry with such good and consistent care. At four weeks, I felt fully recovered, but continued to adhere to instructions to wear the sports bra 24 hours a day except for when showering, and avoiding chest exercise. At six weeks I was officially "signed off" and allowed to go bra shopping! The results of my breast augmentation far exceed my expectations. My breasts were originally quite different in size and my nipples uneven. Today my breasts are full, far more evenly matched, and despite the size increase do seem to suit my figure well. I had little breast skin originally due to having no children and small breasts, and tear drop implants above the muscle. They have settled incredibly natural, both in look and feel. I'm thrilled with them. I absolutely love them. I would suggest that Mr Ross deserves his write up as one of the best surgeons for breast augmentation in Tatler Magazine, and would thoroughly recommend him.
