Hi all,
I am 5'3, 115 lbs and I am decently active. I have had twins and my stomach is completely demolished. I am terrified of getting a full tummy tuck because of the recovery reports that I've read, but I don't think the mini makes people very happy in the end. I have already had one consult and he said that I would have "excellent" results with a full tummy tuck and he also said that I have an umbilical hernia that he would repair. Do you think a full TT Is the way to go? TIA!

We have the same look and I'm 110 lbs 5 3. Everyone is telling me full TT. Only difference is in price it seems. Recovery is same length although easier with mini.

I had a mini on jan 7th. I will say that I'm still uncertain as to if I should have had the full. I'm 5'10" 138 pounds I did not need muscle repair and all my issues were below my BB. No stretch marks above or saggy skin. My PS doesn't use drains so I looked incredibly weird for the first week or 2. Now that the swelling is going away all the foods are settling out. My fear with the mini is since they only remove the fat below the bb, if I gain weight am I going to be fat on top and skinny on the bottom of the tummy???
I could not be happier with very tiny scar and I am already cleared to exercise! I went for a 4 mile power walk yesterday and had no swelling. My friends who had the full tuck from the same PS were still hunched over at this point in recovery. However, those who had the full have forgotten about the misery of recovery and said it was the best decision they ever made. I may have been so focused on getting back to running that I may have been shortsighted about the ultimate results. Only time will tell. Check out my profile and you can see the journey so far

Save your money. Spend it doing fun, memorable things with your kids. You do not need a tummy tuck! You are beautiful.

I had a full tt with lipo on flanks Jan 5, 2016. While it hasn't been easy, I'm so glad I did it! I'm happy with my tummy... it's flat and my dr was able to remove all stretch marks as they were only below my bb.

It's a tough surgery but 3 1/2 weeks later I'm getting around really well now.

I'd get at least 2 more consultations with board certified plastic surgeons.

And whatever you decide all the best!

I'll be having a full tt on February 24th, you should follow my journey. I have 5 kids and a very messy tummy, but am very fit otherwise....no extra fat. I was originally going for a mini, but read that a mini yields "mini" results. If you are going to pay the money and go through the process, you might as well go for the full! You have the rippling and sag above your brlly button like I do, and a mini alone won't fix that. Keep us in the loop!

The final countdown!

Today is 4 Days until surgery! Tomorrow is my last day of work, and then I am taking three weeks off. It has already been such a roller coaster ride of emotions—lots of nerves and excitement. I am going to book my Recliner rental today and drop my RX’s off at the pharmacy...I have bought everything I think I’m going to need...let thing on my list is to get a bikini wax but I’ve never waxed before and the thought of it is so scary...funny how I’m too scared to wax but not too scared to have major surgery...makes no sense! I don’t want my hairs ripped out! Lol, anyway. Starting on a soft diet s of today and will slowly end up on a liquid diet by Tuesday just because I don’t want to be backed up or bloated or anything...I can’t believe it’s so close!

Did you end up getting the wax? Was it helpful? I'm thinking of doing the same but haven't had one before. Congrats on making it to the flat side! You look great!
