I had the Lifestyle Lift face and neck procedure...

WORTH IT$9,250

I had the Lifestyle Lift face and neck procedure and also the whole face fractional laser treatment. I love my results because I look about 15 years younger. The jowls and sagging that made me look older and tired are gone and I have my youthful jawline back. The laser treatment made my skin more translucent and glowing.
Dr. Taghezideh and all the staff at Lifestyle Lift were so friendly and helpful. Dr. Taghizadeh is extremely skillful and demands perfection from himself and his staff, yet he had such a gentle and caring attitude with me before, during and after my procedures. My consultant, Gail, was warm, genuine and enthusiasitic. Marni and Rich answered all my questions before hand, and reassured me whenever I got scared. Emma and Jasmine were kind and helpful with my recovery afterwards.
I was prepared to take it easy after the procedure and focus on healing. I slept in a recliner for a few days and followed the after-care instructions religiously. I was able to be up and about immediately, but it took about two weeks before I felt more normal again. The swelling was gone by two weeks, but the bruises were not completely gone until about a month afterward. I am now three months post-op and I have a little numbness on the sides of my face, and a little tightness around the jaw. These sensations do not bother me.
The decision to have a Lifestyle Lift did not come quickly or easily to me. I grew up in a family that values productivity more than appearance, and I had always believed that facelifts were for vain and superficial people. I thought only the rich and famous did that kind of thing. I also believed that having a facelift would mean that I didn't accept myself as I am, or that I was somehow betraying my family upbringing. But I still wanted to look on the outside the way I felt on the inside - young, strong, capable, and adventurous.
My husband helped me understand that I could love myself enough to invest in improving my looks. And he pointed out to me that having the procedures now in my early 50's would give me years of looking younger and better than I would have without the procedures. I realized I could have it both ways - I could keep my core values of responsibility and hard work, yet be more physically appealing too.
Wow, what a difference in how I feel when I look in the mirror now! The difference is subtle and natural looking, but the tired, worried look is gone. It's almost as if a mask has been removed. I like what I see, and I really feel like the inner me can shine forth.

Hi Gailmail yes - I am an actual patient. This is not a fraudulent review and I wasn't paid anything or compensated in any way for writing a good review. I truly mean everything I say in my review and I am very happy with my results. I have read many of the other reviews, both good and bad, and I am sorry that not everyone has a good experience, and I'm sorry that your experience was bad. I think that both good and bad things can happen with traditional face lifts, too, as well as other surgeries. I did do my homework first and consulted with multiple doctors and practices before choosing LSL.

I am truly glad for you if you had a good outcome, but you are a GREAT rarity if that is the case. Go to ConsumerAffairs.com and you will quickly see why I am passionate about exposing this meatmarket, and you will hopefully understand why. Best wishes to you.

Hi Gailmail I went to the ConsumerAffairs.com site that you suggested. It is sad that there are so many people that had a bad experience - some of what they describe is truly horrible. However I do not think 102 reviews is a huge number of people considering the thousands that have had the procedure. I understand that it seems like a huge number of people to you because you are one of the unlucky ones. I am very sorry and understand why you are passionate about this. But I would like you to consider the possibility that not all of the good reviews are fraudulent. Best wishes to you too!

If you think one good review submitted out of a total of 103 postings is acceptable, that's your right. Those numbers equal a LESS THAN ONE PERCENT APPROVAL RATING for LSL. Wish I knew then what I know now!

I understand what you mean about the percent of total reviews posted - but I am talking about the percent of total procedures performed. It is a common phenomenon that more people will take the time to write a complaint (about anything, not just LSL) than will take the time to write a compliment. I do not think it is accurate to suggest that every good review is fake and every bad review represents the true picture.
March 5, 2013
I am not suggesting, as you claim, "that every good review is fake and every bad review represents the true picture". I continue to invite prospective customers of this procedure to FULLY investigate this company. Why, for example, is there a direct link from Realself to Lifestyle Lifts website?? Mighty suspicious to me, a definite red flag, I think. ONCE AGAIN, I URGE ALL POTENTIAL PATIENTS TO CHECK THE MULTIPLE ONLINE HORROR STORIES ABOUT LSL, including stories done by ABC and CBS News, as well as others, BEFORE TRUSTING YOUR MONEY AND FACE TO LSL!!

But you do suggest, in every good review your comment on, that you think it could be a fraudulent review. Maybe some of the bad reviews are fraudulent too?
March 5, 2013
What I "suggest" is that, to repeat, this site is the only one that has a 53% approval rating for LSL, with ALL other sites I accessed giving it FAR poorer ratings. And that if 53% is good enough to trust your face to, so be it. Also, I trust that these ongoing discussions will prompt folks to review some of the other sites, and see for themselves. Horror stories are the norm...SO sad.

yes, some of the stories are very sad. But I am still happy with my result.

I give up. I refuse to keep going around and around about this. I agree to simply disagree. I trust that anyone else reading this thread can see both viewpoints for themselves. For the record, I am NOT an employee of Lifestyle Lift and I am not receiving anything from LL or Real Self for my review. I simply wanted to share my happiness and the thoughts I had while making the decision. I will not reply to THIS particular thread again so that you may have the last word if you wish. Good luck to you now and always.

Gailmail, leave her alone! Go find someone else as miserable as you to commiserate with. We've both had excellent results and don't care for your negativity around every corner.

Why don't you quit harassing nmjinx!!!!! She's put up with you for long enough. I'm another happy LSL client. So, look up my file under SEAGREEN, "It was worth every dime" and get over the fact that many of us are truly grateful to have had this done.

Dear Lifestyle Lift Patient Relations Group: Why not tell her you are happy in person, at the next company meeting? Um, on second thought, scratch that idea, because she poses as a happy patient, so she must be one, right? Lets ask Andrew Cuomo what he thinks about this issue, shall we?

thank you - yes it is a good way to start the year. I had my surgery on Dec 5, so by Jan 1 I was really feeling and looking good!

I had mine the day after and I have the same lingering numbness on each side of my face as you. I understand it will eventually disappear. I spent hours watching the video log that a lady named Cheryn kept and it really helped me during the first few days when I looked swollen and was questioning my decision. Let's hope we get a few years out of this!

Amen to that! Did you keep a photo diary during recovery? I took a picture every day at first and then about every week just to document how fast I healed. I do hope the feeling on the sides returns, but I am happy even if it doesn't.
March 8, 2013
I did that, too. I took pictures on my smartphone and I surprised myself by never hesitating to show them to anyone who asked. I feel the same way about the numbness at this point. There was a time when it was very irritating. I also find that the scars itch but I imagine that will go away in time, too.

yes - I remember that the first few days my face felt pretty weird - but every day it got a little better. My scars only hurt if I massage them (which I do twice a day with Mederma). The scars don't itch, but sometimes I have an itching sensation in the numb area - scratching doesn't help because I can't feel it! It is mild and goes away all by itself after a minute. I haven't shown my photos to anyone yet. My sisters don't realize I had a facelift - I had only told them I was having the fractional laser. But my girlfriends all know and see a big difference.
March 12, 2013
Wow, so you actually had good results?? Know that you are a member of a privileged minority, nmjinx! Most of the rest of us are really feeling and looking bad. Prospective patients, please stay away from this disaster of a company.

Nmjinx, I think you look beautiful. I am just sorry that you seem to have been targeted by one of those people who live their lives on the Internet harassing others and contributing nothing. Or perhaps it's those ambulance chasing lawyers trying to come up with a reason for a class action lawsuit. I should check into reporting this abuse of the forum because I am more interested in some productive conversation. What exactly does Mederma do for scars?

March 12, 2013
As far as possibly being one of those " ambulance chasing lawyers", I would not have to TRY "to come up with a reason for a class action lawsuit" because LSLs abuses are very well documented, already. Can't wait till they ARE exposed for what they are, maybe resulting in being shut down forever.
March 12, 2013
I reported you to someone who can actually do something about it. I don't believe you run this site, you just take advantage of it.

Hi again! Mederma is supposed to reduce the appearance of scars by softening and fading it. I have been using it since one week post op and the scar under my chiin and the ones in front of my ears are nearly invisible. I also had a scar on my nose from a dog bite (NOT RELATED TO MY LIFT!) that has faded considerably, too. You have to remember to rub it on two or three times a day for several weeks, so it takes a little time to work.
