Here is one more closer photo of me just taken 2 weeks ago. In December, this will now be 8 years after my initial facelift. Still very, very happy with the results! Dr. Chen is AWESOME!!!!

You asked for before photos, these were taken just days before surgery in Kauai. CAUTION, the post surgery is a little icky, but as you can see, considering the amount of work Dr. Chen did, I didn't look bad at all for less than 24 hours post surgery. I also included a photo of the lip enhancement Dr. Chen did about a year later. I have an upper lip!!!

Dr Neil Chen in ABQ did my face in December 2014. It is PERFECT. People are telling me that i look 15 years younger.

Dr. Chen made a small incision under my chin, removed extra fat, and then "trussed" up the excess skin. It made the area quite tight for awhile and hard to raise my head up too high, but the good news .... The extra chins were gone!
You say that your surgery was in Kauai, but then you wrote up a review for Dr Chen of Albuquerque?
No, I was in Kauai, flew home to ABQ and was in surgery the next morning.
Ok...thanks for clarifying....also you said your surgery was Dec 2014..but your Jul 8 2015 comment says you are "7 years post surgery"?
No, Dec. 2007. Goodness, my bad!!!

My face had literally dropped! The "fat packs", what make up your cheek bones, were sitting down on my jawline. I had several rolls under my chin that showed especially in photos, major crows feet, and my eyes upper and lower were saggy. The lines on the sides of my mouth were prominent. I was very self conscious and felt like I looked far older than my age.

You look great. Thanks for giving me hope. I'm only 48 and my face dropped exactly the same way as you described yours was before surgery. My former cheeks are now at my jaw line. Anyway, congrats. You look amazing.

Have Dr. Chen do it!!!! I remember coming out of surgery into recovery and hearing the nurse tell my husband, "we can always tell which patients Are Dr. Chen's, they are in no pain and gave very little bruising"! I never had to use anything stronger than Advil, and the few little scars were easily dealt with by using Bio Oil (Dr. Chen Approved). If you do put have a recliner, get one. You really need to sleep pretty upright and support your head in an upright position. I fell asleep once with my head to the left and got a blood pool, all that meant was the area bruised a little more and the dried blood was a little difficult to wash out of my hair after a week.
Yvette @ Dr. Chen's office has called me several times since my surgery to speak to clients by phone. If you wish, contact her with a number to reach you and she will, with your permission give it to me so that we can talk by phone. I'll try to answer any questions you have or give you encouragement if that is what you need.

You bet, ANYTHING to help others ....... Having PS is HUGE, I understand that well!!!! It's scary, it's an unknown, it's risky (in your own mind), it's surgery, plain and simple. If I can help even just one person walk through it and come out on the other side feeling half as wonderful and at peace with my inner self, I will have done what I want to do!

My facelift was done in 2007! Dr. Chen is the best in ABQ, I've had previous surgeries in Washington State and had given consideration to having this procedure done up there, but then we found Dr. Chen and there was and has never been a doubt that he was the perfect surgeon for me!
