So glad you're sharing your story(ies) with us! I bet you're going to love putting mascara on again someday soon! Did it hurt to get your stitches out? It's nice that you have a "go to doctor" for all your cosmetic surgery needs. Looking forward to seeing your healing progress. Congratulations!
Stitch removal did not hurt or even pinch at all. Yes, I put on mascara and eye shadow last night and it looked good! Dr. Karl Eisbach only does face and neck work, which is why I think my entire family loves our results. More pics tomorrow!

That's even better that your doctor specialized in face and neck. You know you're getting an expert in that area. How fun to enjoy wearing make up. Looking forward to seeing your healing progress!

What I've been worried about the most is a doctor taking out too much fat and ending up with a hollowed out eye appearance, but in your case, your doctor did an excellent job without overdoing the fat removal. Your eyelids look raised up some too (which I would like). Did you have a brow lift too or is that just another benefit of the blepharoplasty?
I also was worried about too much skin being cut out and looking freaky, but Dr. Eisbach is very well-known for his subtle results. He did not raise my eyebrows, so I think it's the result of the blepharoplasty.
However, I did have a mid-face lift from him about 8 yrs. ago (I was around 47 yrs. old) which included a mini-brow lift. Just 2 incisions in my hair-line to pull up the forehead skin, plus incisions behind my ears and under the chin lipo.
But, this last surgery has reallly thrilled me to no end--nobody is staring at me beause of a wind- tunnel effect nor am I swollen or black and blue.
I feel so fortunate to have such a skilled surgeon in New Mexico. People come from all over the country to see him and I understand why.
Let me know if you do your surgery...I think you will love it as much as I have loved mine!

Yeah, I've thought of a mini-brow Lift to possibly solve both issues. I've read some messages from reputable doctors talking about endoscopic brow lifts raising the eyebrows (not too much) enough to lift the brows and lessen the excess eyelid skin. I have heard they can last only a year sometimes though and that seems like a lot of trouble, risk, money, etc. for that amount of time. When you had your mini-lift, how long did it last or is it still better than before you had the procedure? Thanks for your response.
I want to do something soon after the holidays so I'll keep you posted. I'll put pics on here too. Others' stories have been helpful. :-)

I wish I had checked with my eye Dr. before I did this last procedure, because insurance might have paid for part of it----I too had the heavy eye-lid feeling when I was tired or on the computer. You might check on that!
