I've been researching various peels lately and decided on the Perfect Derma Peel. It seemed easy enough based on the tutorials on YouTube. You can get it done at a medical spa and pay around $300, or you can buy from Amazon or other skin care sites and do it yourself. I got my own from Amazon ($125) and watched several videos before hand. It arrived next day. The package comes with a vial of chemical peel, two post peel towelettes, gauze to apply the peel, and lotion for when you begin peeling. Pretty simple: washed my face, neck, and chest thoroughly and then wiped it really good with an alcohol pad to remove any remaining dirt. Once dry, I carefully opened the chemical vial (away from face and with gloves on) and poured the liquid into a small medicine cup for easier application. I dipped the gauze in the liquid and applied to my entire face (not eyelids or lips), neck, and chest. Once that layer dried, I applied a second, and third layer (until the solution was gone). I made sure it was applied evenly and that I didn't miss anything. It has a strong tingle but definitely wouldn't say it burned. It subsides right after the solution dries. The smell bothered me the most (strong but not a bad sent), but that too went away within about an hour. My face never really turned red and I didn't "frost" at all. I left it on for six hours, avoiding water and putting nothing on the area that entire time. After the six hours, I washed my face thoroughly, let it dry, then applied my first post peel wipe. This one doesn't smell bad, but it tingles a lot more than the peel itself. Nothing that hurts but I'm dying to scratch (I know I can't). In 24 hours, I'll wash my face again and apply the last post peel wipe. My fave should begin peeling by day 3 and hopefully finish by day 5 or 6. I'll post photos along the way. Oh and by the way...you don't have to wait until you're off work or whatever to start the process. My face was a bit red when I first applied it, but then just looked normal (and of course you just can't wear makeup). Now after wipe 1 it still looks normal. Next time I plan to apply on a Wednesday n peel over the weekend.

Perfect Derma Peel Day 2 (post peel wipe #2)
S9228November 14, 2015
So I applied my first post peel wipe yesterday evening. As I said before it has a pretty strong tingle that makes you want to itch. It was unbearable last night so I broke down and put some hydrocortisone on my face and neck (read this was ok). It helped some but I must admit, I was still lightly scratching for relief. Placing an ice pack on my face helped some too. It wasn't painful, just annoying really. This morning I showered and washed my face thoroughly, then applied the second wipe. Same feeling...lots of tingling and itching. However, after an hour it subsided completely! Now my face just feels tight. No peeling yet. I read it won't start until day three or four. My face has been red in certain areas on and off but nothing major. Again, I'd totally be ok with doing this towards the end of the work week so I can peel over the weekend.

Perfect peel day 3- peeling
S9228November 15, 2015
I started to peel last night (day 2). Only around my mouth and only one small layer of skin. I'm hoping this isn't all that's going to come off...my neck and chest still look normal. I'm using the moisturizer that comes in the pack. The skin that has peeled feels a little raw and dry but not bad. I don't see much difference so I'm hoping some more layers come off. Will keep you posted!
