28-year-old, 2 Kiddos, So Worth It - Albuquerque, NM

When I reached puberty, it seemed like I had breasts over night. I also managed to gain quite a bit of weight and developed a lot of the other craze puberty entails. After a couple of years, I lost about 25 pounds, but was left with decent-sized breasts that remained until pregnancy. It seemed with both pregnancies, my breasts were a little larger than baseline and remained that way until completion of breast feeding. I have had two pregnancies and breast fed two beautiful babies. After the second one stopped nursing, all of my breast tissue was gone, or so it seemed. I bounced the idea of a breast augmentation around in my head for a couple of years. A new employee started working for the company I work for and she mentioned she had a breast augmentation a few years ago and remains happy. She passed along the information to her surgeon and even accompanied me to my consultation. I started at approximately a small B cup. I never tried any rice sizers or anything prior to the consultation. Dr. Chen provided a few different sizers during the appointment. We agreed on 450cc and I was to call and schedule surgery. Similar to many, I questioned the size, but always if they would be big enough, never if they were going to be too big. I called the office and scheduled a second consultation. Dr. Chen listened to my concerns and told me he could place a Mentor Memorygel silicone gel breast implant, 500cc, moderate plus profile, via inframammary incision. Again, we agreed and I was to call and schedule surgery. I scheduled my surgery for October 11, 2016. The surgery center and staff were wonderful. The anesthetist was wonderful. Again, Dr. Chen was great. The pain immediately after surgery was much worse than I expected it to be, but began to resolve very quickly. By the second night, I no longer required pain medication. I was able to participate (keep company, walk around) for a day of lunch and shopping on day three. The recovery was much faster and much easier than I anticipated. I returned to work after ten days. I managed to pull a muscle after a couple weeks, but with some TLC, rest, Ibuprofen, heat, etc., I felt better in no time. I haven't had any further complications. My breasts are basically perfect. They are everything I imagined and more. Dr. Chen did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone. They have dropped significantly and are already very soft. My incisions look okay, and are improving daily. I have dealt with some negativity and a lot of positivity. Most importantly, I am really happy and I am so proud of how womanly my new appearance makes me feel. I have next to no cons and about a million pros.

I am 5'6" and about 130 pounds. I am now a 32DDD after my breast augmentation.
