I have researched, and met with several different plastic surgeons in the ALBUQUERQUE New Mexico area for over a year now. I was a 36 D at one time in high school but I'm now a 36 C due to 4 pregnancies and breastfeeding. I wanted a lift with an implant size to get me back to a size D. I had lost a lot of weight following my divorce of 21 years (was at 125)but over the course of 2 years have gained 15 lbs. I've always been a runner and love weight training, boxing and Zumba. No matter how many crunches and sit ups I did when I was down to 125 it never made a difference. I still had my little tummy pooch, so a mommy makeover was something I desperately wanted to have done.

Im very happy with Dr. Chen. My first initial consultation with him was great. (He has also perfomed surgery on a few of my friends). He sat down with me and he answered all of my questions and concerns. He took measurements and had me try on sizers. I felt very comfortable with him. Knowing that he also has a Harvard background impressed me. My surgery was performed this Thursday at 7:00 am. I wore a bikini bottom so he could mark where id like the scar for my tummy tuck to be. I'm very OCD with perfection so i wanted to make sure that my scar would be in a lower, less conspicuous area. Although I was very nervous, the staff at The Surgery Center was great and made me feel very comfortable. I just remember the anesthesiologist telling me that he was going to put something in my IV to help me relax. I was out like a light and don't remember much after that point. I woke up 4 hours later very thankful that the surgery went well. I have been in a lot of pain and hunch back, due to the soreness. I'm scared of tearing open my tummy sutures. It feels like I got hit in my mid tummy area by a train; due to the muscle repair. I can't wait for my PO appt on Tuesday. I'm taking my pain meds regularly and I'm hoping to get rid of my drain pumps as soon as I see the dr. I'm so excited to see what's underneath all this gauze.
