Almost 25 years old (may 1), 5'3", 147 lbs. losing (aiming for 125-130), from VT. I am a 34-36 B cup, but I gap in all of my bras. I have wanted an augmentation since I was about 16 years old. I found this site about 8 months ago. I started researching in depth and seriously saving money b/c I wanted it done THIS year. I did not want to wait any longer to be happy and confident about my breasts.
I found a few doctors through this site and others by researching for quite some time. I found a few doctors in Mass I liked and one in NY. After reading several reviews, some of which liked the same doctors as me, I decided to contact Dr. Deluca in Albany, NY first. He has had quite a few out-of-town patients and all of his before and after's have beautiful results.
I decided to start out with a phone interview to get a feel for what he was like and see if he was somebody I wanted to see in person. (I have about a 3 hour travel to all PS's I was interested in) I sent an e-mail with photos for him to look over with a list of questions and concerns I had about my own breasts. We only talked for about 20 minutes b/c I really do not have many questions about the surgery itself or technique as I have been researching for YEARS. I decided to make an appointment to travel out and meet him in person.
On Monday, March 10th a friend and I made the 3 hour travel to visit Dr. Deluca in person. He has a BEAUTIFUL office. Very clean, quiet and friendly staff. I arrived for my 3:00 apt. about 2:45 and was taken into the room right at my apt. time.
Dr. Deluca was very professional, personable and nice. He even asked my friend if she had questions. He asked me a few questions about my health, what size I wanted, type of implants, incision site... (all things I talked to him about in my first e-mail and on the phone). After about 15 minutes he pulled out some sizers and gave me about 15 minutes to try them on and take pictures. He came back into the office, asked which ones I liked and did my measurements. I liked the 450cc sizers.
I decided after meeting with him (even though it's my first and only consult) that I wanted to book my surgery. I originally wanted April 21-25 because my mom has break that week and she is the one bringing me to surgery, but he is out that week. The first available date we could do is May 20, 2014. Even though I was bummed, I'll have about $1000 more saved up by then! They made 3D photos for me and I received them the next day. The 450cc look HUGE in the pictures, so I'm back and forth between those and 425cc. I don't want to be disappointed I'm not as big as expected, but I also do not want to be too big, either.
Because it is a 3 hour drive for me, I will have my pre-op the day before my surgery. Because I can't decide on a size, I asked the nurse to order both the 425 and 450 cc in both mod+ and HP so that when I meet with Dr. Deluca before surgery he can help me decide which choice is best. After all, it is his profession :)
I am also having my right nipple repaired because I had a piercing when I was younger, that when healed made a small point on the bottom of my nipple (you will see in photos). I am being charged $1000 for this and he said it's a very simple, quick procedure. He will just take out a little wedge and put in a couple stiches.
So right now I'm playing the waiting game. I am very confident in my decision and have never once had any doubts about doing this or whether or not I've chosen the right PS for the job. The only concern I have is which implants!!
I think I have covered everything so far.. I will attach some pictures of me now and what I'd like for an outcome.
I apologize for the novel-long post, just wanted to be thorough!! Thank you to all the ladies who post their stories on here. If you have any questions, do not hesitate and I will update as things pop up.. :)

Hey girl I hear u there!! This site helped me find my doctor, things I should ask about or think about that I didn't know, and the support these ladies show each others is fantastic!! I will definitely keep you all updated when new things pop up!! Thanks for commenting :)

Thanks for the update! I'm sure your doctor will have prescriptions and everything done well ahead of time. Try to relax and enjoy the process ( I know its hard, I am a lot like you, but just have to trust the doc).

I did call last night and talk to her and realized I am way over freaking bc I'm just a freak about making sure it's set. She made me feel better that at about 2 weeks out I'll be pretty ready :) now to just chill and wait until I have to pay!

At least you're reassured. That's a good thing! I was just looking at compression bras and things. Did they tell you about all of that? I don't know what I'm doing or what I need yet either, but I'm sure they will tell me once the date is confirmed.

I heard makemeheal.com is a great site to get things.. A simple google search I'm sure will help- or call the office and see if they supply yours. My doctor is supplying mine and it's one that has a band. I know not all doctors supply them, I was surprised mine did.

There's a dr deluca who's a plastic surgeon down here in fl as well great results. What a coincidence.

If you're torn between sizes I recommend going up. 25cc more is really not that much.

That's what I was told but when he first mentioned sizes he said I would be on the low 400s at most to be where I want to. I'm worried that going to 450 I'm gonna end up being above a D cup bra and I do NOT want that. Idk. I'm gonna let him decide at my pre-op the day before surgery bc he knows best :)

Just Waiting....
Hey ladies,
Just checking in. Not really much to update on. Lets see... I e-mailed the nurse that is in charge of ordering sizes again and just re-confirmed with her I wanted both the 425 and 450 both in MOD + profile on hand for surgery. In the beginning, I originally wanted 425cc HP and 450 mod + ordered.
I did email her at one point and asked if they could have 400cc there because the 3D photos had me freaking out, but I have decided that would be way too small.
I am still very un-decisive between the 2 sizes (425/450) so I am going to have my PS decide at my pre-op the day before surgery. I will print out pictures of what I want to remind him and see which one he feels would get me to my desired outcome best.
I have read quite a few reviews of people saying go with the larger one because that's one of the most common complaints is that ladies didn't go big enough.
Just playing the waiting game right now. When the date gets closer, I will have to get a couple of button-up shirts to have for after surgery. My doctor provides the compression bra so I will probably only get a couple of those comfy looking 'coobie' bras that most ladies have recommended.
I will update here and there, but not much is going on right now other than waiting so if you have any questions or anything let me know!
