Here goes nothing.
Like others out there with tuberous breasts, it has been quite the journey. From the confusion during puberty, the isolation to figure out what's "wrong" and wondering if I'll ever have the luxury of "normal" breasts, my upcoming surgery has been 20 years in the making.
There's at least a dozen of you out there who have thoroughly documented your own corrective procedure, so thank you so much. 15 years ago when I first poked around on realself, there was no language to describe my chest. Just a bunch of beautiful (or terrible) boob jobs where none of the before photos looked like me. Desperate for change I booked consultations with two plastic surgeons, both of whom had the credentials and reviews to back them up. At the time all I knew to ask was "so will this change my shape?" Neither of them saw my concern and they certainly weren't able to diagnose me. After a scheduling snafu I decided not to move forward and I'm glad I waited.
Fast forward 15 years to weaning my second and last baby (easy since I nursed all day long and only produced a few ounces per day) and I started to think about myself again. Yes, it's vain, but I was tired of living with this constant misalignment of my overall self esteem with the feeling that accompanies topless glances in the mirror. The internal conflict has never stopped nagging me, so I'd like to experience a chance at life without it. And thanks to this community I finally feel like I can make that happen.
Based on what I've seen, and after 2 phone consultations, I'm locked and loaded for surgery. I just didn't see anyone with consistent results specific to tuberous breast correction near me in the Midwest. Road trip to Albany! Wish me luck next week and feel free to leave me any pointers to get through the healing process. Pictures to come the night before. :-)

Here are the before shots, if anybody finds them helpful. I know I did when researching. I'm scheduled to arrive at 6:30 tomorrow morning. Attempting sleep with this cold I caught 3 days prior to surgery.

Everything went quickly and smoothly at St. Peter's this morning. They certainly don't want you to linger, they make sure you're awake with solid vitals and begin the discharge process so I was back at the hotel by 11. Dr. DeLuca said everything went great and he stuck with 400ccs mod+ silicone. I haven't seen the result yet, so I'm definitely curious! My follow up is tomorrow so I'll have to wait until then. Also, they say you'll be tight, but they don't mention the amount of discomfort that brings! I haven't been shy with my Percocet.

Did you chose 400c or is that the max he could do because of the constricted tissue? Mine look just like yours and I’d like to go to 500c but I don’t know if it’s possible ☹️

I chose 400cc but I bet he would have been fine with a little more. Honestly - they're kind of a lot. They seem to take up my entire torso and there's a bit of rippling because there's just no space for them! I currently wear a 32DDD bra which I actually need now or they look saggy. If you have a similar stature as me, that may be something to consider. Good luck!
