I had my BA at 40 and after a divorce. Typical, I know. I never wanted huge boobs. I just wanted symmetry. My left was a C but my right was barely a B. My PS (at that time) said to achieve symmetry he would need to go bigger than the full C that I wanted. However, they never were symmetrical but I had no complaints. I've been happy with them until about 4 years ago. At that time, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and I had begun to have some vague pains in my breast, which is how the heart issue was discovered. I had to have a cath because my implants prevented getting an acceptable echocardiagram reading. And now, rather than have a cath every time my cardiologist wants to look at my heart.... I'd rather explant and just have an echo. By the way, the vague breast pain was diagnosed as chest wall muscle inflammation. There's a big medical term for it but who can spell it?? Not me. Mammograms were torture and my mom was diagnosed with invasive stage 3 breast cancer in July. So it just made sense all around for me to explant. I'm 6 days post op now and it's very painful still. Of course, I quit taking the pain meds due to constipation issues so that doesn't help. My left breast looks good to me. Yeah, it's saggy but I'm 58. They should sag but they're tightening up. I do have an issue with the right, as you can see in the photos. I have a deep suture which is pulling in and causing a dent or pucker. At my 1st post op visit on Thursday, the day after surgery, when the dressing was removed, I freaked!! My PS didn't seem too concerned and said to give it a few days and we'd check it out on Tuesday, which is tomorrow. Actually, it HAS improved and I've done some research. If this is a dissolving stitch, it could resolve on it's own. Either way, I've no doubt my PS will see it right. I totally trust him. Overall, I'm happy. Just the weight of them being gone is a relief.... I can get a good deep breath any time I want now. And I'm just happy being back to me. I'm a little saggier, yeah but I should be..... it's been 18 years!! My clothes look and fit better!! I feel like I've lost 10 lbs!! How great us that? I'll post a current photo soon and let you all know shat happens at my 2nd post op tomorrow. I'm so glad I found this site!! It's been a great help to me. I hope I can help someone too!

So I just arrived for 2nd post op and signed release for in office procedure to release the deep suture that is pulling. It will be under local anesthesia and I'm nervous!! I have a high tolerance to pain meds..... the PS asst told me I actually woke up TWICE during the explant surgery. I think i vaguely remember one time. I'll keep you all posred....

you looks great! I know you'll feel better about it after your procedure today - good luck - hope it's easy and effective - can't wait to see your result!

Will have to wait a while for update and photos. Office procedure was not ideal so looks like we'll go back to the OR.... I have complete confidence in my PS. A couple of crazy things happened with my surgery, having to do with anesthesia and my strange anatomy but my PS is so great and will see everything perfect before he's satisfied so I'm good. Will update soon.

It's been 10 months since my explantation. My boobs aren't perfect but they never were, however, they're mine and I love them!!

Wow they have really filled out and look great. I can only hope mine do the same! I was also uneven B in one side and A on the other.
