Touchup Appointment Completed!
So today I finally went in for my touch-up after 8 weeks. When I arrived, the lady immediately applied numbing cream, covered it, and set a timer. I did not get microbladed until 10 min after the timer went off. I think because of this, the numbing cream wore off and the procedure hurt like hell. Even through the twitching and watery eyes, Linda did not apply anymore numbing cream. I believe its because the touch-up was already free and it would take another 30 min to kick in which we both did not have time for. She did not even care to ask if I was alright or anything. I felt every single blade cutting across my eyebrows for at least 30 min. I guess its true what they say, beauty is pain. My eyebrows are looking super thick this time around but I know they will thin out once the swelling goes away and they start to fade.
1 Month Later
It's been a whole month since getting this procedure done. I still have mixed feelings about it. I still like the shape which I was looking for when I got this done, what I don't like is that it looks just like a tattoo. There are no "hairs" which is what microblading is all about. My regret is not going with my original shape too. If I had done that, my eyebrows would not look so bad because I actually had real hairs to cover it. But since I went higher on the right eyebrow, I had to give up some of my hairs. I am scheduling my touch-up in 2 weeks. I am hoping that during the touch-up I can get a more "microbladed" look. If anything my last resort would be a regular eyebrow tattoo which is not what I originally wanted. I wish I had invested more time and money into finding the right person to do this procedure. Lesson learned.
6 and 7 days After
My eyebrows are almost completely faded right now. They are also super itchy. I've started to cover them with powdered makeup because I feel self conscious with them.
