I've always had a fascination with my eyebrows....

I've always had a fascination with my eyebrows. They have always been thick, full, and the shape wasn't bad either. I do not wear a lot of makeup on the daily, only foundation and lipstick, so my eyebrows always had to be well trimmed. I had a membership for eyebrow threading which I was paying $40 every 3 months. They did a good job, but most of the time, my eyebrows were threaded thinner than I'd like to. My thick eyebrows were becoming non-existent because of this. I decided to let my eyebrows grow and cancelled my membership on July 6. I grew out my brows for over a month but even then I was no satisfied. There were clearly patches of missing hairs and the shape was not there. I knew I wanted to do microblading and on June 15 I contacted a microblading artist who needed models for her porfolio and in return would only charge me $90 for the procedure.

Thanks for sharing your eyebrow transformation journey. When are you scheduled for microblading?

The day finally came!

I ended up flaking on the microblading artist. My appointment was scheduled for July 16, a Sunday and the day after my husbands party. I called her up and cancelled. It was 20 miles away and I just felt too lazy to go out there. I didn't give it much thought until the morning of Monday July 24 which was my day off. I was browsing through Groupon and saw a deal for microblading for $254. I checked out their page, liked what I saw, used a coupon code which brought it down to $224, and bought it.

I immediately called the place and they offered to see me the same day for a consultation. Once I was at the consultation the technician drew in my eyebrows and gave me a few options to go with. She then asked me when I wanted to schedule the appointment to get it done and it so happened that she was working on another client that day. I told her I could only do Mondays and she is usually off Mondays so I asked her if she could do mine too and she did! She then applied numbing cream and got to work. At first, I did not feel any pain but the last finishing touches had me flinching and breathing deep. After she finished, I was so happy with the outcome that I even gave her a $10 tip. I was in love with my new shape!

It's when I got home that I had doubts whether I did the right thing. My 13 year old son immediately started calling me PacMan and Angry Bird and told me that they looked like they were drawn with sharpie. That is not what I wanted to hear. Now I just feel like they do look too dark especially since I am used to wearing my natural eyebrows with no makeup. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will get lighter and look more natural once they heal.

Day After- Still getting used to them

Still having doubts whether I did the right thing. I went to work today and only a few people (women) asked me what I had done to my eyebrows. Most people act like they don't notice or may be afraid to ask. I still think they are too dark for my face.
