Ok, I will be 4 weeks post op on Thursday and I'm still trying to get this belly button to heal. I'm really tired of it looking gross. It has improved but it's taking a really long time. On top of that, I have one spot on my incision that is really red and looks to be open a tiny bit. I have been putting neosporin on it and keeping it covered. The swelling is still a huge issue. On a good note I am sleeping so good on my side. I work everyday, all day. I've got to go Christmas shopping. I haven't bought one gift yet. I hope I'm up to waling the mall this week!!!! I know I need to download my post op pictures, I'll try tonight.

HI! I just came across your story! I had my surgery on Thursday, I am 5 days post op. I am so glad to be rid of the apron, and rolls, but I do not look flat either, like alot of the other mommies on here. :( I keep telling myself be patient! It took years to get in that shape, whats a (HOPEFULLY)to look like I want!

Your right...it takes time. We can do this. I'm ready to get back to exercise and I'm really gonna get focused on eating healthy. Hope your healing is going well.

I went my PS today and my belly button is infected...
I went my PS today and my belly button is infected. Keeping antibacterial ointment on it and covered. He said after it heals I should have a nice "inny". 3 weeks this Thursday and feeling stronger.

They told me it was normal to not fit in my clothes et as well. I guess we think we are getting this crap removed we should be smaller but when swelling comes in to play i guess it is a little different.

Sst1107 and flymommy I agree with you both about the swelling! It sucks that you right before your surgery your jeans fit you a little bit lose and then weeks after surgery the same jeans don't even fit anymore! I guess we just have to be patient and hopefully the end result will be good! I am happy with my surgery even if all I fit into are joggers. But there is a couple of days were I let the swelling get the beat if me and I get a tad bit depressed but I look at my before pic and get happy again!
davidgirl....i was so excited to go shopping after christmas but I dont think we can get bigger.....it has to be the swelling , has to has to......
