I'm BRCA1+, and Dr. Pedersen performed...
I'm BRCA1+, and Dr. Pedersen performed direct-to-implant breast reconstruction as part of my prophylactic double mastectomy. Since it was a reconstructive surgery, my experience is likely a little different than those choosing plastic surgery to improve appearance. That said, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Pedersen. He was so kind throughout the whole process, and my cosmetic result is absolutely incredible. I'm still in shock at how good they look! If he can make a reconstructed breast look this good, I can't imagine what he can do with a breast augmentation! He's truly an amazing plastic surgeon and a great person. I'm so glad I chose him for my reconstruction.
